Chapter 667 The familiar figure
Jia Li sighed without another word. When Fu Hua saw the two waiters wheeling their dishes towards them, he said to Jia Li, "The food is here."
After the food was served, and some of the wine from the bottle, was poured into their wine glasses, Jia Li and Fu clinked glasses and drank from them.
"The wine tastes good." Jia Li said and finished the remaining content of her glass.
"Take it easy," Fu Hua said as he put down his glass and poured more wine for her. The way she downed the whole thing because she liked it, amused him greatly.
Jia Li beamed with a smile as she took a good look at the wine bottle, "I love the taste, can I drink more?"
"You can, but you need to eat the food laid out in front of you first." Fu Hua advised.
"The food is not a problem, I just want to make sure that I can take more of this wine. It doesn't taste like it has much alcohol content or does it? As much as I like this wine, I don't want to home drunk or tipsy, I can't teach bad values to my daughter." Jia Li said.
The mother is one was worried about the wine having a high alcoholic content because she didn't have enough alcohol tolerance. Also, she was worried about appearing in a drunken state and being seen by her little girl.
Jia Li was being really careful about what the little girl sees, hears, and says.
Fu Hua smiled at her wariness and concern about the values their little girl should learn from them.
"The wine is non-alcoholic, so you can enjoy it, but don't forget your food."
Fu Hua's verdict was all it took for Jia Li to finish up her second glass of wine before she started to eat.
After a few bites, Jia Li's face changed and Fu Hua noticed it, "What's wrong? The food is not to your taste?"
"It has a weird taste in my mouth, or maybe it's my thirst bud. Try it and see." Jia Li said as she pushed the plate of food she just took a few bites to Fu Hua's side.
Fu Hua tried the food and found nothing wrong with it. He glanced at Jia Li, "There is nothing wrong with the food to me. What don't you like about it?"
"I think it's the cream, is too much, I don't like it." Jia Li complained. At first, when she tried the dish, she thought she could manage, but a few more bites, made her want to throw up.
"Try the second dish then, I will eat this one for you." Fu Hua said while pointing at the second plate of food in front of her.
When Jia Li tried it, she seemed satisfied and never complained about it until she finished the food.
"I know why you didn't like the other dish, the was cream was sour, and the taste of ginger and garlic wasn't exempted. But it was still good for me." Fu Hua said wiping the corner of his life with a table napkin.
"I don't really like tasting those spices, but it felt especially weird in that cream." Jia Li said as she drank from her wine glass.
Fu Hua smiled and stretched forth his hand towards the bottle of wine, but as he lifted it, he discovered that it was light. Getting a good glance at it, he discovered that it was empty.
Jia Li quickly threw her face away before their taxes could meet. Fu Hua smiled and said, "I only drank one glass of wine throughout this meal. But you, how many glasses did you take?"
"It doesn't matter." Jia Li replied with a smile.
Fu Hua didn't know what else to say to her, and before he could think of something, a call came in on his phone.
Glancing at the caller ID, he said to Jia Li before accepting the call, "It looks like Ling is here."
"Just come straight to table 7 when you get in." Fu Hua said over the phone.
"Why make him wait when we are done eating?" Jia Li inquired.
"Your food has to digest a little." Fu Hua replied with a smirk.
When Ling walked into the restaurant, he glanced around and found them before making his way over.
He had attended a meeting nearby and had planned to take a cab home or find YingPei to take him before Fu Hua called for him.
While chatting with Jia Li and Fu Hua, Ling saw a familiar face from his peripheral view was a bit shocked. Jia Li caught him spacing out and called his attention, "Ling, is everything okay?"
Ling managed a smile and nodded, "Cousin, are you ready to go back now?"
"Yes," Fu Hua said as he got up from his seat and went to Jia Li's side to help her up.
While leaving, Ling had his face on the same a lot he saw the familiar face, but he couldn't find her.
On their way back home, Fu Hua and Lin talked about how his game company was doing.
"If you need any contact, don't fail to reach me. You can't build something alone, you will always need people's help along the way. Don't think that you should struggle to get something when there is a faster process for it." Fu Hua advised Ling.
Ling was used to doing things by himself, which was good. But his bad habit was that he doesn't ask for help that much from his family.
Fu Hua believed that if any of them needed help, the rest should be there for them.
Fu Ling was after doing everything himself because he didn't want to be seen as someone who got help from his family to start up something or attain a particular level.
Ling nodded in response to what his older cousin had just said to him.
When the trio got back home, Jia Li was glad that she wasn't tipsy or drunk, because Jasmine immediately ran to them once she saw them step inside the house.
