The Only Son Amongst The Daughters Of Eros

Chapter 98 Anger of the Moon

The eternal night of the Moonlight Region was only disturbed by Mother Selene's Moondrake's silver wings shimmering as it flew towards the Castle of Moonlight, each powerful beat slicing through the air with a grace reserved for the most majestic of creatures.

The Moondrake was an extremely powerful and glorious Beast Companion. It had scales that glistened like polished mirrors, and reflected the silver stars above, and it had luminous eyes burning with intelligence.

It was a Five-Star Mythical Beast and it descended slowly once they arrived at the castle, its enormous frame landing before the building with the lightness of a feather.

Mother Selene dismounted, her silver gown rippling like water in her wake. After the meeting , even regarding how hectic it had been, her presence was still regal even though dangerous.

She was still very angry, and her storm was barely contained. Her silver hair, flowing like molten metal, framed a face of timeless beauty, and falling down to her huge and round buttocks that bounced gingerly as she walked.

As usual, even though vexed, her features were cold and statuesque. Her anger was palpable, emanating in waves that made even the Moondrake lower its head submissively before retreating to the edge of the luminescent forest.

Selene strode towards the Castle of Moonlight, her fury igniting the air around her. The obsidian stone of the castle reflected her image, while the glowing moonlit veins running through its sutures pulsed faintly in the night's darkness.

The silver banners on the battlements fluttered in the stillness, and the magical symbols etched in pale blue along the towers shimmered faintly in response to her Essence.

Once she got close to the grand doors, they quickly opened with a hurried hum, as if they could tell how annoyed she was.

Mother Selene stepped into the accustomed dark splendor within. She walked through the corridors lit by enchanted sconces that poured the silver glow over the polished obsidian walls.

Her shadows stretched beside her, the curves below her face and back. The light reflected off silver threads woven into tapestries that depicted the Moonlight Region's history.

Mother Selene kept muttering things to herself in anger. Things that surely had to do with the Council meeting not too long ago.

Waiting at the base of the grand staircase was Maridel, her maiden who had almost become like a confidant, a friend of sorts.

Maridel was young and beautiful, and very loyal too. She had hair in dark and silver curls framing a warm, earnest face, and her deep ash colored gown shimmered faintly with threads of silver embroidery. She curtsied low, her voice gentle but curious.

"My Queen, welcome home. How fared the council meeting?"

Selene's steps slowed as she reached Maridel, her hands curling into fists before she spoke. "You will not be surprised by my answer but it was intolerable, Maridel. To sit amongst those insolent girls who presume themselves my equals, to hear their insolence and lies. It is a wonder I did not unleash the heavens upon them." Her voice was sharp, laden with disdain.

"Where are my Daughters?" she asked the maiden after looking around.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

"They've retired, dear Mother. Aryanne wanted to wait for you, but sleep defeated her drive in the end."

"Very well," Selene nodded and began up the stairs. "I would not want to disturb them with such nonsense anyway."

"I do not mind being disturbed by your problems, dear Mother," Maridel said with a smile, glad that she had stayed up while the Queen's own daughters couldn't. "The other Mothers. Surely they would not dare such disrespect, my Queen. Tell me, what transpired?"

Selene continued to ascend the stairs as her heels clicked with the marbles with Maridel trailing close behind. "Who else but that young tramp, Guinevere," she spat the name, her silver eyes narrowing.

"The child acts as though she rules Erothyria herself. Her airs, her insolence, her pretense of innocence. She accused me of sending an assassin! Imagine that."

They entered Selene's chambers, a vast room dominated by hues of silver and blue. The canopy of her bed was draped in moonlight silk, and the large windows offered a perfect view of the glowing forests and rivers beyond.

Maridel moved to assist her queen, her fingers deftly unfastening the intricate clasps of Selene's gown as she stood opposite a mirror. "And what was your reply, my Queen?"

Selene allowed the gown to slide from her shoulders, standing in a shimmering underdress as she began to pace.

In this state, her naked silver body was glorious. Her large teardrop breasts hung below her shoulders, pristine and pale, and as her legs moved, her round soft ass followed in glorious motion.

"I told her the truth. Erimyra was no assassin. She was a spy, and a capable one at that. If Guinevere cannot protect her borders from my spies' ingenuity, then she has no place on that Council. No right to rule a large Region like Starlight."

Maridel hung the gown carefully before arranging the queen's room. "That is true. All should be left for you to rule, dear Mother. But Mother Guinevere... she has always been… headstrong," she ventured cautiously.

Selene snorted. "Headstrong? She is insufferable. Ever since Eros, my husband, made her his favorite, she has flaunted her youth and beauty as if it were a crown. But it is her lies I cannot abide. She feigns righteousness while harboring that abomination she calls a son."

"Prince Aeric," Maridel murmured, lowering her gaze.

Selene stopped and turned, her silver eyes sharp. "Yes, the same Prince I sent Erimyra to spy on. My Daughters have already described what he looks like and how he behaves from their time in the Royal Institution.

Maridel hesitated, wringing her hands. "Yes indeed. They have told me too, my Queen. I was... curious. They say he is… remarkably handsome. Almost unnaturally so. Skin as smooth as marble, eyes the color of an enchanting ruby, and features so perfect they could only have been sculpted on Eros's finest day."

Selene raised an eyebrow, a curious frown curving her lips. "You seem quite enamored, Maridel. Tell me, do you have a thing for the boy?"

Maridel's cheeks flushed as she stammered. "N-not at all, my Queen. I merely repeat what has been spoken."

Selene's smile faded as she turned away, her thoughts churning. "I do not care for how he looks. Handsomeness is a thing that young girls cherish. I do not."

"Yes, my queen." Maridel bowed.

Selene began to move towards her bed, putting on a simple silver lace robe that only covered her matured body with transparent fabric.

"But..." Maridel spoke up again. "Have you ever considered the abominable son for something more useful to your cause?"

Selene sat on her bed and lifted a brow at her maiden. "What do you mean?"

"Think about it, dear Mother." Maridel walked close. "All the Daughters, just like the Mothers are born with the royal egg, and can not be fertilized by any common semen. Wouldn't that entail that for the Son of Starlight, he now has—"

"The royal seed." Mother Selene finished the maiden's words with a flash of understanding. "Maridel, what a genius you are!"

The maiden blushed. "I just thought of it, my Queen."

Selene's finger touched her chin in thought. 'He truly is an opportunity. Not only do I not have to rely on my husband who has forsaken me to bear children, but with this boy being so special... Could it be possible he could also impregnate me with a son of my own? Could I too be a mother to a boy child?!'

Maridel paused, her green eyes widening. "What are you thinking of, dear Mother?"

Selene nodded slowly, a calculating glint in her eyes. "Guinevere has always played her hand too close to her chest. But I know what to do now. I will capture her son, this Aeric of Starlight, and I will bring him under my influence."

Maridel stepped closer, frowning. "That wasn't what I was suggesti—"

Selene turned to her, placing a hand on her shoulder. "You have done well, Maridel. Once I capture the boy child, I will make him pump barrels and barrels of his royal seed inside of me! He will give me royal children, more royal children than all the Mothers. And that only means more power."

"Uh... I was suggesting that you simply ask..." Maridel's voice trailed off.

Selene turned back to the window, gazing out over her moonlit kingdom. The stars seemed to whisper secrets only she could hear, and for the first time since the council meeting, a small, satisfied smile graced her lips.

"You will be my soon, Aeric of Starlight... and I shall have all I desire through you."
