The Strongest Assassin Reincarnates in Another World

Chapter 403 - The World Knows

Days had passed since Aiden and Jake had gone into Lumithar's World, and they still hadn't said anything about Ava and Emma about what had just happened.

Aiden was currently lying in his bed as he went over the things that had happened in the past days.

Aiden had been asking for Jake to train as much as possible, but things were getting slower and slower these days as all his techniques required a lot of time to utilize.

He had shown him how to use his Qi in a better way. However, Aiden had a feeling that Wu Lan would be able to teach him much better. The reason for that was that it was the only energy that she knew in this world, and her husband was literally the strongest being in that world.

'If I could become Li Feng's, then I would get stronger crazily fast!' Aiden thought, convincing himself.

He wasn't sure of that information, but it was almost certain that Li Feng could teach him in a much better way than Jake would. After all, all those things he knew probably came from a similar world.

'Should I tell Emma that I'll be leaving soon?' Aiden thought.

Over the past few days, he had taken his distance from Emma because, for some strange reason, he felt absolutely no attraction for her. It was as if someone was playing with his mind, basically directing him away from her.

Aiden's guess was that it was all because of Ariel. However, he had no way to truly prove it.

'I should. She'll be wondering what's going to happen…'

Even if he wasn't as attracted to her as before, Aiden couldn't help but remember everything they had gone through.

*Swoosh!*

The door swung open as Aiden had that thought where he saw Emma with a lot of sweat on her face.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

"Are you okay?" Aiden asked as he frowned, looking at her sweaty body.

"T-T-The news is out."

"News? What are you talking about?" Aiden replied as he could see how stressed she was.

She was extremely worried about that news, and Aiden had a great idea of what they were.

"The founding families-"

"What about them?" Aiden cut her off.

"T-They declared…"

"Go on, it's okay. You can tell me."

"I saw it in the news…they declared war on you. Everyone knows what you look like, and everyone knows your real identity! They know your full name. Everyone knows that you're a Nightshade!" She shouted as she couldn't take it anymore.

Tears started coming out of her eyes as she looked at Aiden's body. The founding families declaring war against him meant that Aiden's death was inevitable.

However, as tears kept falling onto her clothes, Aiden slowly rose his body, standing up and hugged Emma.

He got closer to her and whispered, "Let them come. I'll deal with them. Don't you worry…"

"…how? How? They're much stronger than all of us combined. We can't do anything against them. There's a reason they dominated this world for so long. Once they have an enemy, they get rid of him."

Aiden smirked as he looked toward the sky.

"Hahahaha!"

He just laughed when he heard those words.

He couldn't take it anymore.

"Did they ever have me as an enemy?"

Emma was surprised as she got away from him and looked into Aiden's eyes.

There was a strong red aura all around his body as he laughed.

"Aiden?"

There was no answer as Aiden looked back into her eyes.

"Are you okay?"

"Answer me," Aiden said. "Did they ever have me as an enemy?"

"…no?"

"Do they know where I am?"

"…no?"

"Then, why worry? Haha! They can't even find me. I just have to get strong enough until I can destroy all of them by myself!"

Emma couldn't help but have her eyes widen when she heard what he had just declared.

'Taking on the four founding families? Is he going crazy?' She thought.

It made no sense; there was no way someone would become strong enough to have a full-on war against the four founding families and all of their allies within Nova.

He wouldn't be able to do such a thing alone. He would have no choice but to ask others for help. He would have no choice but to find allies.

"What are you planning on doing?" Emma finally asked as she could see there was no way that she would convince him to surrender himself.

Seeing her face, the choice was quickly made. He decided to tell her about him leaving this place for some time.

"I'll have to go somewhere. I'll stay there and train until I'm satisfied with everything that I have achieved. Actually, I'll have multiple places to go to until I come back."

'I'll have to go train my techniques with mana, too,' Aiden thought as he suddenly remembered of another world where they were masters of it.

Aiden looked at her and suddenly had an idea.

"During that time, I'll need your help. You'll have to find yourself allies to fight against the founding families. Find as many as you can without being found out."

He grabbed her by both of her shoulders.

"Look at me and listen. Don't get in danger while I'm away."

He didn't want to come back and see her dead. If that happened…it was better not to think about it. One thing was sure: he would be consumed by rage, and with his new-found power…who knows what might happen?

Emma, who had just heard all that, couldn't believe it.

Was he going away? Now, out of all times, but why? Why couldn't he stay here?

"Y-You're leaving?"

"Yes, but don't worry. You can ask for help from Jake. He should be able to help you in gathering allies. He's much stronger than he really looks, and…uh…he owes me one."

"Where are you going?"

Aiden just smiled as he turned around, and a portal appeared in front of him.

"Another world."

[You have utilized Otherworldly Teleportation.]

[Destination: Third Trial World]

He crossed the portal, and it closed by itself, leaving behind Emma, who was currently crying like a baby.

She was now all alone once again.
