Transmigrated into a Parvenu's Ex-wife in the '90s

Chapter 145 Business Partnership (3)

Chapter 145 - Business Partnership (3)

She lived in the little distract over by City Bei Road; it was a pretty decent area. Her husband was a manager at a small clothing factory. The name of the factory was somewhat familiar. Shu Yan thought about it long and hard. Wasn’t this one of Zhang Baizong’s factory? Did that mean Zhu Hung’s husband got into this factory through Le?

Lao Hu was good. He didn’t only find out the relationship between Le and Zhang Baizong; he also found evidence of Zhu Hung’s husband’s other shady business. He had purposefully labeled some clothing as defected and Zhu Hung’s little brother was the one to take care of these defected products. Finally, these clothing ended up in Zhu Hung’s shop and sold as high-end men’s clothing.

Now it all made sense. She was wondering how a little manager at a factory was able to buy new house and open up a shop for his wife. Now she knew where the money came from.

Shu Yan didn’t read these before nor did she plan on doing so. Her target had always been Le. Problem was, that Zhu Hung person was strange; she insisted on getting herself involved. Well, if that’s the case, Shu Yan must strike back so she wasn’t thought of as a softie.

It was still early in the day so Shu Yan had Ye Jingjing help her brother take a bath while she went downstairs to give Hu Ruixue a call.

“Well, well, well. What made you think of me today?” Hu Ruixue chuckled. She thought Shu Yan would have call her right away after finding out her background but she hasn’t heard from Shu Yan until now.

“Have you already taken over your ex-husband’s factory?” asked Shu Yan directly.

“We are transitioning it right now. Why? What’s up?” asked Hu Ruixue curiously.

“One of the guys at your factory was placed there by Le. I’m not sure if you remember his wife. She was the one who said she was blind when Le asked her for help the other day on West City Nan Road.” Shu Yan did not beat around the bush. “I have some evidence of her husband scheming the factory.”

“I see what you are saying now.” Hu Ruixue didn’t continue the subject. “The transition is about to complete and I plan on running it myself afterward. The clothing factory used to manufacture men’s clothing, but I plan on switching it to women’s clothing. That interests me more. I don’t think I have mentioned it before, but I studied art in college and have always been interested in clothing design. Well? Are you interested in working with me on it?”

Shu Yan was baffled by the convoluted way of getting to her point. She thought Hu Ruixue was excitedly sharing with her her newest plans; how did that become the two of them working together?

“What do you mean?”

“Zhang Baizong’s clothing factory is pretty decent. It has about 20 – 30 workers right now. I plan to expand it some and start my own brand. I have seen the clothes at your shop last time. You are good at matching them, so why don’t we work together?” said Hu Ruixue with a smile.

Build her own brand? Shu Yan found Hu Ruixue’s suggestion very tempting. She’d be lying if she said she had no ambition when it came to her own career after she was transmigrated to this era. Having two children with her, however, limited her options.

“I have two children and just this one shop was keeping me busy enough. I’m afraid I won’t have the time to work with you on a factory. Besides, you don’t need to work with me. With your resources, there are plenty of designers and wardrobe stylists for you to choose from.” After she had calmed down, Shu Yan couldn’t help but wondered why Hu Ruixue wanted to work with her. Besides, she didn’t have the capital to join force with Hu Ruixue either.

“I wanted to have my own career. In the past I had always relied on my family nor did I care about what was going on after I had gotten married. At the beginning, Zhang Baizong would share with me what was happening outside and I couldn’t even talk to him on that subject. I am not trying to prove anything; I just feel that I am so useless comparing to you. You might not know this. But I sensed a lot of energy from you.” Hu Ruixue wasn’t lying. She had truly made up her mind to get rid of Zhang Baizong after learning about Shu Yan and her situation.

“That’s good thinking and I have faith in you. But I... starting your own brand will take time, energy, capital. I have limited capital and I have two children. I won’t be able to contribute a lot, so...” Shu Yan continued to turn her down politely.
