Chapter 469 Flirting
Chapter 469 Flirting
Villain Ch 469. Flirting
The luxury restaurant, nestled just a few blocks from the White Wings Hospital, was a hidden gem of opulence in the heart of the city. Its exterior exuded an air of elegance, with a discreet entrance that didn't immediately reveal the grandeur within. The restaurant wasn't bustling with patrons, as it seemed to cater to a more exclusive clientele who preferred privacy and sophistication over crowded spaces.
Upon entering, the plush interiors welcomed guests with warm lighting, soft jazz melodies wafting through the air, and a tasteful blend of modern and classic decor. The ambiance was hushed and intimate, creating an atmosphere conducive to quiet conversations and shared moments.
Jordan, always one to avoid unnecessary attention, had reserved the VIP room. It was a secluded enclave within the restaurant, offering a perfect balance of privacy and luxury. The room was adorned with exquisite artworks, and the elegant table settings bespoke of fine dining. The soft glow of candles added a romantic touch, and a panoramic view of the city skyline through the large windows provided a breathtaking backdrop.
Fifteen minutes later, Emma stood just outside the VIP room, her arms crossed and a clear expression of annoyance etched on her face. Her presence interrupted the father-son moment between Jordan and Allen, adding an unexpected twist to their breakfast.
"Excuse me, Dad. May I ask why is he here? And why are we having breakfast with him again?" Emma's tone was tinged with frustration as her eyes focused squarely on Allen. She couldn't help but wonder if her father was trying to play matchmaker, setting her up with a guy she had only just met. Though she couldn't deny Allen's attractiveness, with his handsome features and intriguing fighting style, she wasn't ready to entertain the idea of being matched with someone she barely knew.
Allen, sitting there with a forced smile, could feel the tension in the air. He understood Emma's irritation but didn't want to be the cause of any family disputes. Meanwhile, Jordan shot his daughter a displeased frown, not appreciating her rudeness.
Jordan couldn't help but feel a bit taken aback by Emma's reaction. He had indeed asked her to join them for breakfast, but he didn't anticipate that she would be so visibly annoyed. He thought of this gathering as a simple and ordinary meal just like before, a way to introduce Allen to Emma without immediately revealing his true identity. Jordan's goal was to allow them to interact and grow closer, hoping that it would make the eventual revelation of their sibling relationship more palatable to Emma.
Taking a deep breath to maintain his composure, Jordan decided to address the situation delicately. He wanted to ease the tension and make the atmosphere more pleasant.
"Emma, there's no need to be upset," Jordan said in a calm and reassuring tone. "I invited Allen here today because I think it's time for both of you to get to know each other better. He's a good young man, and I believe you two have a lot in common."
Allen remained quiet, allowing Jordan to handle the situation. He didn't want to add more tension to the moment.
Emma responded to Jordan's attempt to soothe the situation with a noticeable pout. She couldn't help feeling frustrated and somewhat indignant. How could her father ask her not to be rude when he hadn't even informed her of his plans? It seemed to her that he was making decisions about her life without her input or consent, and that didn't sit well with her at all.
Crossing her arms and maintaining her pout, she looked at Jordan, her expression clearly conveying her displeasure. Emma was a young woman who valued her independence and the ability to make her own choices, and she felt that her father's actions were infringing on that autonomy.
Emma observed Allen, she couldn't help but notice that he had a certain charm about him. Although he wasn't dressed in designer clothing, there was an effortless and attractive quality to his appearance. His outfit, while not branded, seemed to complement his physique perfectly. Emma found herself silently acknowledging that nearly everything he wore looked good on him.
She secretly admired his casual yet appealing style, which seemed to reflect a sense of self-assuredness. Despite her initial irritation at her father's attempts to set her up with Allen, Emma couldn't deny that there was something intriguing about him.
Jordan couldn't hide his displeasure at her hesitation. With a frown, he motioned for her to join them at the table.
"How long are you going to stand there? Take a seat," he urged, his gaze shifting between his daughter and Allen. He gestured toward an empty chair and addressed her, breaking the tense silence that had settled in the room. Emma's eyes remained fixed on Allen, and her indecision was palpable.
Jordan's words seemed to trigger something in Emma's mind. She wore a mischievous smile. Without further hesitation, she confidently agreed, "Okay." As she closed the door behind her and made her way to the dining table, she had a plan in mind.
Emma didn't take the seat next to Allen, as one might expect. Instead, she moved closer to him and then, quite unexpectedly, seated herself directly on Allen's lap.
Emma's actions were both surprising and daring. As she confidently settled onto Allen's lap, her body turned slightly to the side, pressing against his torso. Her hands gently wrapped around his neck, and a playful, teasing smile adorned her face. The room fell into an awkward silence as both Jordan and Allen were momentarily frozen in shock. Allen, in particular, was left utterly speechless by the bold move.
Jordan's panic was palpable as he urgently rose from his chair, his voice tinged with anxiety. "Emma! Sit in your own seat!"
But Emma, seemingly unyielding, responded with a challenging tone. Her smile only grew more infuriating as she shot her dad an annoyed look. "Why? Don't you want me to get to know him better?" she questioned, her gaze shifting back to Allen, who remained frozen but had a subtle grin on his face. Emma's hand began its ascent, rising up towards his cheek before descending ever so slowly. "This way I can get to know you better," she added teasingly, her voice dripping with flirtatious intent.
Jordan was flustered, caught in a whirlwind of shock and worry. He could hardly believe what was unfolding before him. This was not how he had envisioned this breakfast going.
Allen, for his part, finally snapped out of his initial shock. He couldn't help but grin as he decided to take charge of the situation. His hand moved swiftly to capture Emma's wrist, gently but firmly pushing her hand away from his cheek.
"I appreciate the enthusiasm, sis," Allen began, a chuckle escaping his lips. "But I think you shouldn't do this. There are better ways for us to get to know each other," he advised, trying to diffuse the tension that had settled over the room.
Emma let out a mocking chuckle at Allen's use of the word "sister." She leaned in closer to him, her hands firmly holding his face, and their faces were just inches apart. The sweet scent of her perfume filled Allen's senses. "Sister?" she scoffed with confidence. "I'm not your sister," she stated boldly, her eyes locked onto his.
Jordan, seeing that his daughter wasn't backing down, realized it was time to reveal Allen's true identity. He couldn't keep this secret any longer, especially when there were only the three of them present. Taking a deep breath, he decided to break the news. "Emma, he is your brother," Jordan announced clearly, hoping that this revelation would prompt Emma to reconsider her actions and perhaps even leave the awkward situation.
Emma, however, responded with another chuckle as she turned to Jordan. "Nice try, Dad," she retorted, her tone still mocking. "But I won't buy it. Anyway, that was a bad joke," she sneered, dismissing her father's words before shifting her attention back to Allen, her flirtatious demeanor resuming.
Jordan couldn't hide his exasperation as he took another deep breath, attempting to reason with Emma. "Remember when I mentioned the possibility of having another sibling?" he reminded her, hoping she'd recall their previous conversation.
Emma paused, her expression shifting from amusement to contemplation as she cast her thoughts back to the past. After a moment of reflection, her eyes widened slightly as realization dawned on her.
"That's him," Jordan reiterated, pointing directly at Allen to emphasize his words.
Emma responded with a dry, skeptical laugh. "I know you are kidding," she said, her tone wavering with uncertainty. Her father wasn't one to repeatedly tell the same joke, and this situation left her feeling uneasy, wondering if there might be some truth to his claim.
Jordan, however, was determined to make his daughter understand the reality of the situation. He reached into his pocket, retrieved a document, and handed it over to Emma. "No, I've done a DNA test on him," he declared, presenting the test paper as concrete evidence of their familial connection.
Emma's heart began to race, and a shiver ran down her spine as her gaze shifted to the piece of paper. Her eyes scanned the document, her mind struggling to process the revelation. She then turned her bewildered gaze to Allen, who wore an awkward expression, clearly uncomfortable with the sudden twist of events.
"Hi, sis," Allen greeted with a cringe, breaking the silence that had settled over the room. The misunderstanding had made the situation incredibly awkward for both of them.
