Chapter 705 Croissants and Macaroons
Villain Ch 705. Croissants and Macaroons
Azura quickly took off her helmet and handed it to Allen. He placed them on the motorcycle, and then the two of them headed into the café.
The café's interior exuded an elegant ambiance, with sleek, modern furnishings and soft, warm lighting that created a welcoming atmosphere. Once Azura and Allen stepped inside, they were greeted by the sight of well-dressed patrons, most of whom appeared to be from the upper class.
Despite the casual attire worn by many, there was an unmistakable air of sophistication, with branded clothing and designer bags prevalent among the clientele.
Azura couldn't help but feel a bit out of place in her more modest attire. She had opted for casual clothes, considering her journey on the train, and now she found herself surrounded by individuals adorned in luxury brands. Nonetheless, she held her head high, reminding herself that confidence was key, regardless of outward appearances.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om
As she looked around her, she couldn't shake the feeling of being slightly underdressed in comparison to the other patrons.
"Good morning, welcome to our café," the waiter greeted them, his tone friendly and inviting. "How many in your party today?"
Allen glanced at Azura before turning back to the waiter. "Just the two of us," he replied with a smile.
"Right this way, please," the waiter said, gesturing for them to follow him. Swiftly, they followed the waiter through the elegant interior of the café, Azura couldn't help but notice the curious glances from some of the other patrons. It was clear that their appearance had drawn attention, perhaps due to Allen's refined demeanor and Azura's striking presence.
Once they reached their table near the window, Azura and Allen settled into their seats, the natural light streaming in from outside casting a warm glow around them. The waiter handed them each a menu, a leather-bound booklet filled with enticing options.
"Here are your menus," the waiter said with a smile, his demeanor professional yet friendly. "Our café is known for its delicious array of desserts and sweets. Our mainstay menu includes classics like tiramisu, croissants, macaroons, cheesecake, and crème brûlée, all made with the finest ingredients to ensure a memorable dining experience."
He continued, pointing out various sections of the menu. "We also offer a selection of gourmet coffees and teas, perfect for pairing with our delectable desserts. And if you're feeling peckish, we have a range of snacks available, from light sandwiches to savory pastries."
After a few moments of perusing the menu, Allen made his decision. "I think I'll go for the croissants and herbal tea," he said, closing the menu and setting it aside.
Azura nodded in agreement, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips. "Croissants sound perfect," she replied. "I'll go with a coffee and a selection of macaroons."
The waiter's face lit up with approval. "Excellent choices," he remarked, jotting down their order on his notepad. "I'll get that right in for you."
With their order taken, the waiter excused himself and headed back to the kitchen, leaving Azura and Allen to enjoy the cozy atmosphere of the café as they awaited their delicious treats.
Once the waiter left, Azura took a moment to gather her thoughts before starting the conversation. She felt a bit awkward, but she wanted to break the ice.
"Thank you for accompanying me," Azura began, offering a small smile.
Allen returned the smile with a casual shrug. "Don't mention it. After all, this is a weird coincidence. I didn't expect to meet you at the station," he replied, his tone relaxed.
Azura nodded, acknowledging the unexpected encounter. "Ah... yes, about that..." she trailed off, her voice faltering slightly. She paused, trying to find the right words to express her curiosity. "I still wonder why you were there," she admitted, her brows furrowing in confusion.
As soon as the words left her mouth, Azura realized her mistake. Allen had already explained his reason for being at the station earlier. She mentally kicked herself for not paying closer attention.
"I mean, I wonder why you still recognize me after two years. I mean, we only met once in the tournament and it was two years ago," she quickly added.
"Oh, I watched your stream sometimes," Allen admitted, his tone casual. "But I never commented or anything. I'm more like a silent audience type," he added, with a shrug.
Azura's mind raced with thoughts. 'Wait, he's watching my stream?' she pondered, feeling a mix of surprise and confusion. Her heart quickened its pace, and she couldn't help but wonder if Allen might indeed be the mysterious follower or stalker she had been speculating about. "So you read my announcement," she said, trying to probe further.

Allen furrowed his brows, clearly puzzled by her statement. "What announcement?" he asked, his confusion evident.
Azura sighed inwardly. "Announcement on my streaming page," she clarified, hoping to jog his memory.
"About what?" asked Allen, his confusion evident in his tone.
Azura furrowed her brows, mirroring Allen's expression of puzzlement. "About today's stream," she clarified. "I'm going to take a break for a few days from my stream," she explained, wondering if Allen was intentionally feigning ignorance or genuinely unaware.
Allen shook his head, his honesty evident in his admission. "I haven't read it," he confessed.
"Oh..." Azura uttered, her brows furrowing slightly as she processed Allen's response. She fell silent for a moment, pondering his words before speaking again. "Then how did you know I was going to Goldborne's Mansion?" she inquired, her curiosity piqued.
Allen flashed a reassuring smile, his demeanor calm and collected. "You'll know soon," he replied cryptically, a hint of mischief glinting in his eyes. "For sure, I'm not a bad guy or want to kidnap you," he assured Azura, his tone firm and sincere. "Oh, and I'm not your stalker either," he added with a chuckle, as if dispelling any lingering doubts Azura might have had.
"I never thought that way," she said with a small nervous smile as if Allen had caught her. Yet her confusion remained.
What do you think?
