Chapter 162 An Excited Armorer
The staff member glanced at the two Ember Bellow Lizard Pelts finding them to be just as described.
"There's no doubt, these are Ember Bellow Lizards for sure." The staff member spoke. "But do you wish to submit these as the proof?" the man asked in doubt.
He too knew the value of the pelts and it would be a bit too much for them to take it as the proof.
"No, for that I got something else." Arthur said, taking out the Ember Bellow Cheek Pouches. "One of these should be fine, right?" he asked.
"Of course!" The staff member easily recognized the Cheek Pouches and could even see the place where they were originally attached to the pelt.
Next he took out the register and finished the formalities for the bounty.
>Player Arzhur has completed the bounty 'Ember Bellow Lizard'<
>Player Arzhur has obtained 1 Gold and 50 Silver coins as the reward<
>Player Arzhur's reputation has risen<
"Here you go," The staff member placed the coins in front of Arthur.
"Thank you." Arthur said, storing the coins away. 'These should be more than enough to make a new armor out of the pelt.' He thought.
>Player Arzhur has obtained 70 Silver coins as the reward<
>Player Arzhur's reputation has risen<
"Ah, yes. The captain asked us to inform you that he won't be available tonight. He's busy with some tasks." Another staff member spoke.
"Is that so?" Arthur replied. "Is he busy with the interrogation?" he asked.
"We don't know." The staff member shook his head. "But he isn't in the building."
"Hmm… that's fine. I'll meet him sometime later." Arthur said before taking his leave.
Arthur wondered where the Guard Captain might have gone to. He had thought that he might be with the prisoners, but it seemed like he had gone somewhere else.
'Could he be patrolling the city too?' Arthur guessed. 'Considering the actions of the bandits, there is a chance he might be getting worried and patrolling it himself now.' He thought.
While thinking of this, Arthur left the building and headed to the armorer's shop. He had quite a lot of things to do there after all.
And when he reached the shop, the Armorer looked at him with a stunned look.
"What did you do to the armor?" The man asked right away.
"Concerned about the armor and not me?" Arthur chuckled. "It just got a little burned." He spoke.
"A little? Half the stitches are burned and the rivets have burned off the leather!" The Armorer said out loud.
"Well… that's what happens when you get hit with a Draconid's breath head on." Arthur replied while shrugging.
"A Draconid?" Hearing the word, the ears of the armorer perked up.
His eyes went to the objects attached to Arthur's back and he noticed something.
"Oy! Come closer to the light." The Armorer couldn't exactly see what was exactly on Arthur's back, but the glint from the distant lamps made him guess something.
"Don't worry, I brought this for you anyways." Arthur said as he directly took off the pelts and showed it to the man.
"It really… no wait… TWO!?" The man finally realized that it actually two pelts.
"Indeed." Arthur nodded his head. "A male and a female Ember Bellow Lizard."
~rustle~
The Armorer quickly grabbed the pelts and unrolled them to check them closely. His fingers swiped over the scales before pressing on them to test the integrity. He even used a candle to try to burn the scales, only for them to be unaffected.
"Ahahah! These are good! Very good!" The Armorer laughed. "What do you want me to make with them?" he asked, though he already had a hunch.
"A full armor set." Arthur replied.
"Of course! This will be more than enough." The man nodded his head. "Though… considering this is an Ember Bellow Lizard pelt, did you take their cheek pouches?" he asked.
"Yeah, I did. Why?" Arthur asked raising his brows.
"Give them to me as well." The Armorer requested. "Its flexibility and stretchability is perfect to be used for the joints. If I used them in making the armor, you will have better mobility without compromising on the properties of the pelt." He explained.
"I see… very well. Take them." Arthur handed the Ember Bellow Cheek Pouches to the Armorer as well.
He had originally intended to sell them, but if he could use them in the armor, it was good too.
Arthur hadn't missed the clues in the Armorer's words either.
'If he says it will have better mobility, it means there might be bonus stats!' Arthur knew.
It was an excellent thing for him and would give him more benefits than just selling it.
"How much would it cost?" Arthur asked. "I also want to get this armor repaired." He replied.
"Hmm… it might better to just scrap the armor you are wearing except for the helmet and the gloves. The damage can be repaired but the durability of the armor would be lower than before." The Armorer replied. "Just give them to me and I'll take them as payment for the new armorer." He suggested.
"Mm… I see." Arthur thought about it and decided to go with it. "Alright, take it." He took off his armor.
"I'll take the chest and leg armor as payment, and repair the gloves and helmet. I'll also make the new armor from the Ember Bellow Lizard pelts." The Armorer summarized. "It'll take me two days though." He informed.
"That is fine." Arthur didn't mind as by the time he logged in again, two days would have passed in game.
"Excellent. I'll make you a great armor, you won't regret it." The armorer said with confidence.
"I'll be looking forward to it." Arthur bid the man farewell before returning to the inn.
Once there, he logged out and returned to the desktop screen of the Dream Pod.
