Chapter 102: Forced To Increase The Limits To More Than 10%
Chapter 102: Forced To Increase The Limits To More Than 10%
Laude then tried to raise his feet but why was it that he couldn't even make a move in the slightest? But seeing the bees getting nearer, he couldn't care much about the hands grabbing his feet anymore.
Hmph!
With another wave of his hand, the space before him had as if halted. And all the bees were now stuck in the midair. Even if they flapped their wings to their hardest, they just couldn't move even a little. As if the space they were in and their distance to their target was now too far away even though they could see their target just in front of them.
"Space Distortion: Miles Apart!"
Laude uttered with the same nonchalant expression. With this skill, the space around him would widen but of course, the wide space would be compressed making it appeared that nothing had changed. That being said, even though the distance between him and the bees of Jim appeared to be near, it was in fact, too far away now. That skill really was pretty amazing!
But of course, Laude was the only exception who would not be affected by the skill. He could move as freely as he liked, unlike those bees who were trying so hard to reach him.
So then, Laude shifted his attention to the hands that were grabbing his feet and noticed that these hands were sucking his Life Energy at an incredibly fast rate. The sucking ability of these hands really was something!
But no matter how fast a sports car was, it could never circle the globe alone!
It might appear that those hands were sucking Laude's Life Energy at an incredibly fast rate, but to suck Laude's Life Energy was as if trying to suck an ocean. It was simply impossible!
But no matter what, no one would like if there was a mosquito sucking one's blood. And same went for Laude, he was pretty annoyed that these hands were leeching him.
But Laude was just about to try something to remove the hands when suddenly, the bees started moving again and were now coming at him all at once.
"Hehe."
Amidst his fright, Laude heard his grandson chuckling. And at that moment, Laude immediately realized what had happened. His skill was just canceled out! No, it was turned into an illusion, and was then turned into nothingness! It was the ability of Charley, or to be precise, Charley's eyes. An ability to turn reality into illusion!
So then, the bees swarmed him, trying to suck him dry. And the last to see on Laude was his smirk before his body was finally covered by the bees. It seemed like, Laude really needed to raise his limits to more than 10%!
On the other hand, Jim was really satisfied with his discoveries. He'd just learned that although it was at a weaker level compared to his mother, he could still use the ability to turn reality into illusion.
At first, he was pretty annoyed seeing that his grandfather had cast a space distortion skill. With that, Jim really would be helpless even with all of his Blood Minions and Blood Warriors around.
Thankfully, as he was thinking about what to do, he just recalled that he was possessing one of the eyes of his mother and recalled as well its ability. Jim then didn't think much as he tried to use it.
But who would have expected that it would actually work! Jim really was happy beyond words. He only intended for Laude's skill to turn into illusion and it really did. And since his Blood Minions was mindless and soulless, and couldn't be trapped by an illusion, it all managed to break free from the space distortion that just turned into an illusion.
If his Blood Minions had just a mind or soul, they might think that they were still trapped in the space distortion that just became an illusion, and would still be stuck in the midair, trying their hardest to move forward only to fail.
But because his Blood Minions were mindless and soulless, they had immediately broken free from the illusion. Nevertheless, since Jim had already turned his grandfather's skill into illusion, he willed for it to be nullified since there was no use for it to exist anymore.
Another skill discovery made Jim be filled with excitement. But Jim knew as well that he couldn't be so careless just because of this.
He then stared at his grandfather who was now shrouded by a swarm of bees as he ordered for his Blood Warriors to prepare for their turn.
Even Bantay who was just watching from the side, and was itching to be ordered, was now being ordered as well by Jim. Bantay was really happy.
Of course, he was happy not only because he was ordered and was going to fight too, but because he'd just learned that he had escaped the watch of the griffin from before. It was nowhere to be found now! Bantay really was wondering where did that griffin go. Or to be more accurate, where did their master had brought them?
Bantay could tell that the place they were in was completely sealed off from the real world. But he could feel as well that everything around him was real. Was their master had transported them somewhere far away? Or was their master created a new world as a battlefield for them to fight in and was transported here?
Bantay just couldn't make any sense to what was going on. It seemed like the longer he was with his master, the more he realized that he didn't know his master well.
On the other hand, the Evolving White Wolf who was still acting asleep was ordered as well to prepare for a fight. And only then did it realized that it was actually in the other place now. Just what was going on? The Evolving White Wolf stood up and found out that the little girl it was guarding was nowhere to be found anymore.
The wolf was just about to be scared knowing that the little sister of its master had disappeared when its master had informed it through telepathy that it was fine. The wolf could finally heave a sigh of relief!
But it didn't change the fact that it was confused about what was going on. It looked around it and noticed that its surroundings were filled with blood. And Evolving White Wolf could actually feel that it was invincible in this place.
Just what really was going on? It seemed like having too much trust in his master was not too good as well. It made it too complacent to the point that it didn't care and didn't put any attention to its surroundings.
After looking around to make sense of what was going on, Evolving White Wolf then noticed the swarm of bees and felt a strange aura inside of it. It narrowed its eyes for a moment before realization dawned upon it.
Its master was telling it to prepare for a fight. And since there was a stranger's aura before them, Evolving White Wolf could only guess that this was the someone they were going to fight.
In fact, the aura wasn't too strange for the Evolving White Wolf. It just noticed that the person inside the swarm of bees was actually the relative of its master, the old man from before!
Of course, Evolving White Wolf wouldn't forget that person so easily. After all, that old man was treating its master like a slave. It still remembered the fear in its master when facing that old man. But since Evolving White Wolf had noticed that that old man was its master's grandfather, it didn't make a move and only watched from the side to wait for an order.
But still, since this old man was the one they were going to fight, Evolving White Wolf prepared itself to do his everything. Even though it could tell that that old man was a monster just like the one who raised it (Don Cruz), at least Evolving White Wolf had given its all and wouldn't disappoint its master.
Not only Evolving White Wolf was thinking like that. Even all the Tree-Merger Apes and even Batik the Bear King had all made up their mind that they would give their best in this fight.
For they knew how strong their opponent really was. And they all could tell that even with their feelings of invincibility in the place they were in, and even if they all joined together, they could tell that it was all not enough.
They were just thankful that their current opponent was not a real enemy and was someone related to their master. Because if so, they were really helpless to think what else they could do to protect their master other than to die meaninglessly.
On the other hand, after informing all of his Blood Warriors to prepare for a fight through telepathy, Jim fixed his gaze to his grandfather. He raised his wariness to the max level and prepared himself for another tough fight too.
