Chapter 108: What Curse Are You Talking About?
Chapter 108: What Curse Are You Talking About?
After realizing that there was no Assassin targeting her family, Charley finally heaved a sigh of relief. Even Elissa felt that her burdens had lightened a bit.
But it didn't change the fact that Charley was annoyed at the smug face of the beast in front of her as if the other party was mocking her for being too incompetent. And Charley was having a hard time tolerating this.
"Anyway, where is Chad?" Charley could only change the subject as she sought Chad's presence.
"Uhm, Tito Chad is probably watching them in the Illusion World, he is t-the....re" Jasper was just about to tell his mom where was his uncle when he caught a horrifying sight.
Everyone turned their gazes to where Jasper was pointing and they immediately found their eyes widened in astonishment.
"Is that Chad?" Charley asked Jasper.
"Y-yes... Perhaps." Jasper nodded slowly as he didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
Chad was now burning in a fire! And the other party was not moving at all! They were just thankful that Chad was still alive. Charley and Elissa were just wondering why would the other party enjoying such treatment. They just couldn't make sense of it at all.
On the other hand, Jasper and Bryan didn't know how to react. It appeared that they had completely forgotten about the other party.
When Jade had gone mad and released shockwaves that could burn everything around, they were so focused on their safety and how would they calm Jade down. They really just forgotten about the existence of Chad who was still shrouded in a fire.

"Why is so hot here?" Chad swept away the sweat forming on his forehead. But he couldn't be bothered by it so much since he was watching intently what would his nephew going to do now. He felt that a moment of distraction would make him miss an important moment.
That being said, he tried his hardest to ignore what he was currently feeling and only see it as an illusion made by Jim.
As time went by, he could feel the heat getting more hotter. He was just thankful that his persistence was not something to joke with, and he could endure such experience even with gritting teeth.
So then, what Chad was waiting for finally happened. The portion of Jim's soul finally floated to the ball of blood that the other party had created.
The moment they touched each other, white dazzling light was emitted from the ball of blood. It lasted for a good while but Chad didn't blink even once for he was afraid to miss an important moment. With the help of his Pulang Mata, he was able to see what was going on.
Then the ball of blood morphed itself into something as Chad felt a chill. He couldn't help but mutter, "What is that thing?"

"M-mama?"
Meanwhile...
"Waaaahh! You're here! I thought you left me already." Jade had finally woken up in her mother's arms as she immediately saw the other party the moment she opened her eyes. She cried. She hugged her mother tight afraid that she would lose her.
"Calm down, calm down. Why are you thinking that I will leave a precious and pretty daughter like you?" Charley's sweet voice rang in Jade's ear as Jade couldn't help but stop her cries and smile instead.
"But where did you go. You all have left me all alone here." Jade asked as she was rubbing her eyes with her little hands.
"Little Jade I didn't leave you." But before Charley could even reply, Jasper had already spoken from the side. He was just hoping that he would earn the other party's favor.
Jade then released herself from her mother's embrace as she landed on the ground and shifted her gaze to her big brother Jasper. But after a few moments, Jade shifted back her gaze to her mother as she held her mother's hand and asked, "Where is Kuya Jim?"
Bagsak!
Jasper felt that the world had just befallen on him. Just what was it that the other party hated on him so much? Jasper could only force his smile and didn't say any more words.
"Hmmmm..." Charley pondered for a while as she asked, "Do you want to see your Kuya Jim now?"
"Yes, yes." Jade was excited.
"Then, let's go." Charley smiled as her Pulang Mata was revealed. She then shifted her gaze to her friend Elissa as she asked, "Let's go?"
Elissa only nodded with a smile. She really wanted to see the other party as well.
"How about you two?" Charley then asked Jasper and Bryan.
Jasper pondered for a moment before he replied, "I come."
"Since I have nothing to do now, I will come too," Bryan responded.
Charley then nodded and with a snapped of her finger, the five of them vanished on sight. Unlike Chad who could only bring his consciousness to the Illusion World, Charley brought the physical body of the five of them in the Illusion World.
That being said, the surroundings turned quiet with trees occasionally rustling with the wind. And the only one who was left was Chad's physical body. Not only that, he was still burning in a fire together with his surroundings.
Charley and Elissa thought that he was enjoying it so they didn't bother removing the fire. On the other hand, Jasper and Bryan forgot about him again when Jade had woke up.

Swoosh!
Five Swoosh!
The five entered the Illusion World as a bloody field immediately greeted them. They found themselves standing on a lake of blood that seemed endless. They really were astonished by the sight but at the same time, felt a chilling sensation.
"Mama, where is this place? It's too scary." Jade hugged her mother's skirt tightly.
"This is where your Kuya is," Charley replied with a soft voice. She already knew what kind of place they were going into, but she still brought Jade since there was no harm other than scaring the other party a little.
Charley had realized as well that this place was actually something created by her son Jim, not his father Laude. Charley really was surprised. She turned her gaze above and saw an eye gazing at them as if it was serving as a sun.
Charley realized that it was her eye that she gave to Jim. With that, Charley conjectured that Jim had managed to make use of her eye and create such a field. It really was an astonishing feat.
"It seems like I'm not welcome here." Charley was still praising her son in her heart when she heard her good friend speaking.
Elissa was now having a hard time breathing as she felt that she was being suppressed by the eye hung on the sky. If not for her tolerance against illusion, she probably had dissapated the moment she entered this world.
Charley shifted her gaze to her good friend as she tapped the other party's forehead. "My son hasn't met you before so that eye is probably considering you as an intruder."
Right after Charley tapped her friend's forehead, Elissa had immediately regained her composure, and the eye on the sky stopped bothering her anymore.
Elissa then heaved a sigh of relief as she said inwardly, "This is the doings of Charley's son? This is really something."
She then swept her gaze around to seek Charley's son's presence as she immediately caught sight of something inconceivable not too far away.
Everyone else was now watching at it too as they were so focused on the unfolding sight. And no one was bothering themselves to speak.
Two figures were fighting each other. Among those two was an old man, and they recognized him well. It was, of course, Laude Jabat!
On the other hand, they were having a hard time guessing who was the other party's opponent. It was in a form of a human kid, but it was all red.
It was nimble and strong. And it could stand toe to toe against Laude. Although the five of them knew that Laude was only using a portion of his strength, it was still, an astonishing sight. Just who was that person? Or was that even a person? They even felt that it was much better to ask, what was that thing?!
"You all are here!"
Amidst their astonishment, they heard a voice coming from behind. They were reluctant to shift their gaze but they still did it to see who was it. And there they saw Chad!
He was drenched in sweat and his skin was reddish. And from the looks of it, it seemed that he was about to pass out at any moment.
"What happened to you?!" Charley frowned as she asked.
"Ah, this..." Chad was embarrassed but he still replied grimly, "I suddenly felt hot for no reason at all. I thought it was an illusion, but from the looks of it, I think I am cursed!"
"You are cursed?" Everyone repeated those words as they didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
Your physical body is just burning, what curse are you talking about?!
"This is not my fault." Except for Jade who didn't know anything, everyone else thought in unison but didn't say any more words. Instead, they tried their hardest to ignore him. They suddenly felt guilty for not putting out the fire on Chad's body.
