Chapter 90: Who To Fight?
Chapter 90: Who To Fight?
"I'm fully healed!"
Everyone around found it hard to believe what they just heard. But what else could they do other than believing it? They could see with their own eyes that Nymph really was healed. Not only his injuries, but even her World Energy was also recovering at an unusually fast rate.
The other three Spirits stared at Jim as if they were looking into a monster. They couldn't help but swallow a mouthful of saliva trying to suppress their astonishment and excitement. Because from the looks of it, they could tell that Jim was going to heal them as well!
But the problem was, "When did Lil Jim become so capable?" Sylph and Gnome could only ponder about this. No matter how hard they pry open their memories, all they remembered about the other party was that he was a trash.
But now, Jim just showed an incredible feat that even the Spirits like them left them gaped in wonder. Not to mention, the other party's little amount of World Energy.
"Lil Jim, what's going on?" As her curiosity hit the max level, Sylph couldn't help but ask.
"Don't think about it too much. I'm just here to heal you all and then beat you up later." At least that was what Jim was actually thinking. But of course, he wouldn't dare to voice it out. Because if he did, his arrogance might really reach the heavens. So in response, he said with a smile, "I'm here to heal you all."
Though that was not what Sylph wanted to know exactly, it was still touching hearing that the other party was going to heal them. With that said, she just gave up thinking how she could pry open the brain of Jim just to know how he became so capable.
"Brat, you said you will heal us right. What do you want? What did you get from master in return?" Salamander asked suspiciously. Salamander could just heal on his own within a few hours. But since they were going to have a good fight, they really needed to be healed now.
And this brat in front of him was actually capable of healing them. But the problem was, surely, there was no such thing as free lunch.
"Don't get me wrong. I didn't ask for anything. It's no big deal healing you all after all." Jim replied. He really wondered why the other party was getting very serious about it.
"No big deal..." Except for Nymph, who was grateful to Jim, the other three Spirits repeated those words in disbelief. They couldn't believe the arrogance coming from this brat in front of them.
One must know that to do such a feat, it needed an S-rank level of healing skill. But this brat, in all mystery, managed to do so. But what was frustrating was that the other party only treated it as meaningless.
"Fine then! Let's see if you can really heal all of us!" Salamander was angered. Using such a skill would surely take a huge toll on one's body. Right now, the brat in front of him may still act tough. But later on, who could say that his acting wouldn't last?
"Yeah, yeah," Jim replied lazily, yawning after that. After knowing that his guess to be able to heal them was correct, Jim didn't need to do it one by one anymore.
With the wave of his hand, three small balls of blood appeared and floated in the midair. And with the flick of his finger, it all flew towards the forehead of the three Spirits.
At that moment, the astonishment within the three grew stronger as they felt the good feelings they were experiencing now. They all closed their eyes and savored that good feeling as if they wanted it to feel forever.
After a few moments, they all opened their eyes once again as they couldn't help but mutter to themselves simultaneously, "I'm really healed."
Salamander didn't want to believe it. He shifted his gaze to Jim, expecting that the other party was now utterly tired and was now sweating profusely and was having a hard time catching up some breath. But what he saw made him almost cough a mouthful of blood.
The other party was still yawning. As if it really wasn't a big deal healing them. Salamander tried his best to tolerate it as he shifted his gaze to his master instead.
"Who are we going to fight now?" Salamander asked impatiently as he didn't want to talk about the capability of Jim anymore.
The other three Spirits listened for their master's response as they could see around them that there was no one to fight.
Every time they were summoned, the only reason was that they were going to fight. That was why they felt like they were going to fight the moment they were summoned.
But now that they took an even clearer look at their surroundings, they just realized that there was no one around to fight against.
It couldn't be that they were going to fight the three monsters over there right? Naturally, they were talking about Chad, Charley, and Laude who were just watching from the side. Even to any of them, they were not confident of winning with their current strength.
They also shifted their gaze to the two beasts from the other side, the gorilla and the griffin, as they could only shake their heads. These two were surely not the answer as well right?
And then finally, they shifted their gaze to the other direction as their blood immediately boiled up, especially Salamander and Gnome. Because they just caught sight of something hateful! They just found the Evolving White Wolf that almost chewed them to death.
Except for Nymph who still managed to hold her cool, and Sylph who didn't suffer that badly, the other two were really angered.
Rage, hatred, resentment, different kinds of emotion flooded on the both of them as they couldn't wait for their master's order anymore and was about to make a move already. Because they knew full well that the one that their master was talking about, of which they were going to fight against, was this damned wolf!
On the other hand, sensing the incoming danger, the Evolving White Wolf opened its eyes as it turned its gaze from where the danger was coming from. After putting a glance at it, it closed its eyes again. After all, its master was around, so what's there to worry about?
Besides, it didn't want to disturb the sister of its master who was now leaning beside it and was now sleeping soundly.
After hugging the wolf for a good while, Jade felt like she wanted to sleep with the fluffy fur of the wolf. With that said, she was now sound asleep. And the wolf really didn't want to disturb her.
"Hey hey! Hold on!" Meanwhile, before Salamander and Gnome could even make a move, their master had already stopped them in worry. Jasper began to sweat seeing the enraged reactions of his summoned Spirits. After all, his beloved sister was currently together with the wolf. If his Spirits started their attacks, wouldn't his little sister be implicated from the attack as well?
"Why?" Salamander retorted. If not for his master's voice filled with worry, he might already have started his move and wouldn't bother to stop.
"It's not the wolf that we are going to fight."
"Huh?!" Salamander was not happy at all. "Are you telling us to let that wolf just like that?"
"Then do you want to fight the one from before as well?" Jasper spoke grimly.
Salamander turned silent. Even the other Spirits couldn't tell a word. They just recalled the one who protected the wolf earlier. If the wolf was just leisurely sleeping and didn't care about their presence at all, then surely, the one from before was just around right?
They might get beaten up once again and suffer certain injuries.
"So who are we going to fight then?" Salamander suppressed his anger as he asked.
Jasper turned his gaze to his big brother as he replied, "Him."
The four Spirits also shifted their gazes to Jim as they all frowned. "You?"
Jim scratched the back of his head with a bitter smile as he responded, "Yes."
He really felt awkward that just after healing them, he was going to fight them. And it was very likely to happen that the other party was going to be defeated by his hands. Beating them up after healing them? Jim really felt awkward.
The four Spirits couldn't find a word to say. They could tell that this brat had only a little amount of World Energy but they knew as well how capable the other party really was. They were just wondering why they were going to fight him.
Especially Gnome and Sylph who had already known Jim before. They knew as well that the other party was way weaker than their master in any way. But now, their master needed their presence just to fight him? Wasn't their master able to handle it on his own? They were really perplexed why they were going to fight him.
On the other hand, after thinking for some time, Salamander became happy. He finally found a reason to teach this arrogant brat a good lesson. So with a joyful voice, he said, "There's no need for you three to make a move. You too Lil Boy, let me teach him a good lesson in your stead."
