Chapter 158 – Bickering Couple and More Tails!

Liu Zhi was smiling happily, while the Inscription Saint looked concerned.

"You are not allowed to drink too much!" He reprimanded her for the first time in front of others.

Liu Zhi clicked her tongue, "You are no fun!" and pouted.

Chen Shi shook his head, but he couldn't allow her to drink too much.

Lady Liu pouted and protested like a child, but she was still not allowed to drink too much alcohol.

Aiko found this funny, as this side of Liu Zhi, she never saw. Liu Zhi was always refined and graceful, but this childish demeanour was likewise cute.

They kept 'fighting' over alcohol while Aiko watched them in interest. If it was anything like Mei and Blood Fox they would have already pounced on each other.

Aiko even heard that the arena was always destroyed in the process!

"How about seducing him?" Aiko mumbled absent-mindedly.

The air froze.

"What do you take me for?!" Liu Zhi glared at Aiko, but she was blushing furiously like she was wronged.

Chen Shi could not say anything, since he, indeed, would cave in to her advances.

"I mean, you would be able to get anything with just a bit- Au, au, au." Aiko tried to explain herself, but Lady Liu pinched her cheeks.

"I'm not like that!" She kept glaring at Aiko.

"Oway." Aiko agreed, even if it didn't hurt she didn't want Lady Liu to strain herself.

Aiko conceded and let Lady Liu do anything just so she would calm down.

They returned to their rooms and Aiko thought about it.

"We should get stronger..." Aiko wanted to get stronger so that she would be able to see more of the world and bring Mei a lot of gifts for her care. 'I would not be here without the Pills and other tools she is readily giving me...' Aiko found this behaviour strange, but she would not dwell on it too much.

'I... want to make Mei happy.' When Mei was not fighting with Blood Fox and worked on Pills, she... looked very sad and melancholic.

Aiko wanted to ask a few times, but Mei had this unapproachable air surrounding her, making it more difficult for Aiko to ask.

She soon gave up and behaved more obediently in front of Mei to lighten her mood.

They had never seen such a thing before, since they never saw anyone develop their Tails in front of them.

The Umbra Fox panicked, while the Blood Fox was much calmer, this effect in front of her felt familiar.

"Go, notify the Inscription Saint." The Blood Fox told the Umbra Fox.

"Okay." The Umbra Fox immediately dashed away without asking any questions. She was panicking too much and would be of no help to Blood Fox.

The Darkness around Aiko thickened until Aiko was nowhere to be found.

At this moment the Inscription Saint came.

"What the fuck!" He cursed loudly, but he soon calmed down.

He was the only person in here who saw a Fox add another Tail to her body, so he calmed soon after seeing that there was a shell made out of Darkness.

"I thought she wasn't a Demonic Fox?" He asked Aiko's team.

"We don't know much about that." The Blood Fox said. She was sure that Aiko was not a Demonic Fox, but the Inscription Saint questioned them in such a grave voice that she didn't dare to say it out loud.

"Does she hear voices or anything of that sort?" He asked another question.

Their faces hardened.

They didn't dare to say anything.

The Inscription Saint was not dumb. "I will wait here and see how it-"

A gust of wind suddenly pulled a lot of Qi towards Aiko...

Aiko was in a half-asleep state.

Even in this half-asleep state, Aiko cursed loudly. 'What the fuck do you mean evolving?! Do you know what this will cause?!' Aiko cursed the system, again and again, not stopping at anything.

He kept cursing like crazy, but Aiko's team joined him in shovelling the Spirit Stones towards the vortex.

The Inscription Saint cried rivers of blood from his diminishing wealth and the fact they would soon crash.

There were two explosions. One from the impact of the ship crashing and another from Aiko for finishing her Evolution.

She finally woke up and the shell out of Darkness was destroyed.

The moment she regained her complete sense.

"Fuck! Shit! Shitty fucking system! What do you mean evolving?! That was not in the description!" Aiko huffed angrily, but froze when she noticed her team and Inscription Saint staring at her.

"Haha..." Aiko awkwardly avoided her gaze, scratching the back of her head.

The Inscription Saint was too exhausted to ask about those strange words. "Do not train, do not evolve, do not Inscribe." He named the things Aiko was not allowed to do.

"Yes..." Aiko obediently agreed.

The Inscription saint got up and walked towards Lady Liu's room with worry.

He walked in and Lady Liu was still sleeping. His lips twitched ever so slightly, he didn't believe she was able to sleep through all that commotion...

She checked if she was still alive and sure enough, she was still breathing.

"What is it?" She rubbed her eyes.

"Don't come out for the time being, I will have to clean up the mess that the little bastard caused..." He sighed.

"Don't call her that, I feel like this whole thing is not her fault..." Her eyes shined strangely and he was shocked.

"If you use it, the curse will advance!" He reprimanded her.

She just smiled. "Don't blame her too much, she is just an unfortunate chess piece like I am..." She smiled gently without a hint of sadness.

"Will they... you know..." He was worried about his love.

"No." She immediately denied it. "She is... very unique... as are the Sages behind her..."

He slowly nodded, but stiffened soon after. "There are multiple?! Isn't that really, really bad?!"

"It isn't, as long as we stay on this Mortal World we are protected from them." She smiled gently, but the exhaustion was showing on her face.

"You shouldn't have used it." He immediately picked her up.

She didn't fight him and let him carry her to her bed. It was important to get some rest...

Meanwhile, Aiko was staring at her system, her lips twitching...

She did not gain a tail, but still lost those Souls. Fortunately, she did obtain an advanced species for her [Shadow Fennec Fox], which was called [Shadow Spirit Fennec Fox].

It didn't change much other than an easier time gaining additional Tails, but what was more important is that her Level reset and as such her beauty plummeted, which meant she would have an easier time shopping!

Aiko smiled happily, but felt pain in her head when she watched the trashed rooms...
