Chapter 66: Talk

Chapter 66: Talk

Ayaan looked at his undead soldiers and summoned them back one by one. In just a few seconds, the entire area became dead silent. Thereafter, he held Rebecca's hand, and a portal appeared on his head. Now he could go back whenever he wanted, not like before when he would need to wait for the allotted time to pass.

Before anyone from spirit empire could find them, the duo disappeared into the portal. Ayaan didn't care what would happen between two empires after this incidence. Both empires had lost their general. They would suspect each other and the final result would be gruesome-war, it was inevitable no matter what.

..

Royal Palace

Isobel, who had just returned from the chamber of commerce and directly went to meet her little sister. As she entered Noor's room, a complete silence greeted her. Placed at the centre of the room was a vast princess's bed; on which was sitting a beautiful lady, meditating.

Feeling someone's arrival, Noor opened her bright, beautiful eyes. She looked at Isobel, smiling, "Why are you here, sister?"

Hesitating, Isobel looked at her little sister, a red tinge appeared on her soft cheeks, "Ca-can you tell me how you feel when you fall in love with som-someone?"

At the end of her question, her entire face was beat red. Eventually, she lowered her head in shame. She was too ashamed to look into Noor's eyes.

Furthermore, at the side, Noor was gazing at her sister with her mouth wide open. She never expected that her proud and arrogant sister, who didn't even give a second glance to any man, would fall for someone.

After calming herself down, Noor excitedly went to her sister's side, asking with her shining eyes, "Wh-who is the man? Do I know him? Is he from Doham or somewhere else?"

Looking at her sister's excited expression, Isobel rolled her eyes, "Did I say anything about falling for anyone? I just asked, what did you feel when you fell for that guy you met before?"

Noor believed nothing her sister said because without fire smoke wouldn't appear. If she asked about love, there must be a solid reason behind it.

"Come on, sister. You won't tell me about the guy? Are you afraid that he will fall for me if he were to see my beautiful face?" Noor teased Isobel and hearing her sister's pestering, Isobel rolled her eyes at her.

"He already has beauty by his side and she isn't any less beautiful than you." Replied Isobel with a mocking smile.

"What! He already has a woman by his side. Then you won't get a place for a first wife. Why are you even considering him then?" Noor expressed her dissatisfaction.

Isobel looked at her sister, shaking her head, "Tell me what will you do, if your loverboy were to come in front of you with a woman by his side?"

Hearing her sister's question, her heart skipped a beat. But then she took a deep breath and spoke, "At first I will beat him into a bloody pulp. How dare he betray me?"

"And then?" Isobel pressed even further.

"Then then I will I will ask him for an apology." Hesitating in between, Noor uttered.

Nevertheless, Isobel chuckled when she saw her sister's troubled expression, and explained, "In this world, only powerful rule and the powerful people would definitely have over one wife. You need to learn how to accept others, so others will accept you, or in the end, everyone will leave you alone if you don't learn how to change with circumstances."

Noor looked at her sister and didn't know what to say. She was right, if she won't accept anyone, then why would others accept her. People show kindness to those who were kind to them and show contempt or hatred to those who were unfair to them.

At this moment, Noor understood something about life. She nodded and again a teasing smirk appeared on her face, as she inquired, "So who is he?"

First, you give me an answer. Aren't you in love with someone? Tell me how it feels." an impatience expression appeared on her face.

At this time, Noor looked out of the window of her room into a vast sky with a longing, a melancholic expression appeared on her beautiful face, "When you fall in love with someone, your heart would tell you to sacrifice everything for his sake. One moment without him would feel like a punishment. No matter how many luxurious things you have in this life, if you don't have anyone to love, everything is just a scrap of garbage...."

Noor went on and on and spoke for an entire hour without realising. Isobel who was standing at the side just stared at her sister back, which was looking lonely and weak. Her voice sometimes would become shaky, filled with doldrums; sometimes there would be unusual happiness in her voice.

Only now, Isobel understood. Though her sister was living in this royal palace, her heart was never present at this place. She had already left her heart somewhere else.

Isobel couldn't tell her own feelings. She enjoyed Ayaan's company. She felt an unusual attraction to him. She didn't know what to do about her feelings; therefore, she came to find her sister, who was now lost in her own world.

Finally, Noor looked at her sister and found she was looking at her with a strange gaze, "What?"

Isobel shook her head when she saw her sister had come back from her trance. Thereafter her expression became grave as she warned Noor, "Nothing, your birthday is coming. I think Daniel would try something funny at that time.

I don't know what the father is thinking, but if he remained silent like this, consequences will be too severe. All the families are joining hand to face the royal family. If the father couldn't solve this problem, then it would cause an immense problem which might be impossible to solve by any ordinary means.".

Hearing Isobel's grave tone, Noor's expression as well turned serious and forgot to ask about the man her sister had in her heart.

Everyone knew that the Lawson family was planning something this time, and her birthday could become the right time to implement their plan. No one knew what they were planning, and no one believed that a Lawson family could win against the Royal Family.

The rulers were that the king was at the peak of the great mage, however, a few years ago, some enemies ambushed him, and injured him gravely with a strange poison. If it wasn't the case, the king might have already broken through to the Archmage, turning the entire kingdom into a first-rate power in the eastern continent.

However, what ordinary people didn't know was that the strange poison was again acting, and it was devouring the magic energy inside the king's body. The poison wouldn't let him advance his magic power; on the contrary, it would degrade magic inside the his body.

Though the ordinary folks didn't know about such a peculiar poison was inside king's body. The enemies who had poisoned him knew everything. It was almost impossible to find a cure of that poison!

Furthermore, the enemies of the king knew exactly when the poison would act, and that was the reason behind this conspiracy and that was the reason someone like Lawson family dared to stand in front of the royal family.

"Don't worry, our father isn't as simple as people think of him. He knows the full situation in the capital and what was going on. He spoke nothing when Daniel confessed to you because he might already have a solution." a cunning expression appeared on Isobel's face. Noor was just too nave; she didn't have any knowledge about politics.

However, Isobel was always interested in politics and all, therefore, she could guess what her father's plan might be. Alas, she also didn't know about the vicious poison inside her father's body. If she knew, her expression definitely wouldn't be this good.

Noor looked at her sister, nodding, "Yes, you are right and uncle Armori would also be present at that time. I don't think the Lawson family would dare to do anything."

Hearing her sister's nave reply, Isobel again shook her head. She knew very well that the Lawson family didn't have the guts to stand in front of the royal family. Then why would they suddenly become aggressive against them? The answer was simple for her to understand, but Noor couldn't see it.

Eventually, a smile appeared on Isobel's face, and teased Noor back, "Didn't you want to know about the boy? I will let you meet him at your birthday party."

Isobel chuckled and escaped from the room.

Noor looked at her sister's back and shook her head. She didn't care much about this politics and all. That was the reason she escaped from the kingdom and went to do adventure, but some people ambushed her.

Nevertheless, she was still grateful to those people who injured her. If it wasn't for her injuries, she might have never met Ayaan.
