Chapter 67: 5th Level Great Mage

Chapter 67: 5th Level Great Mage

Next morning

Ayaan and Rebecca went to the Doham chamber of commerce. He didn't leave Rebecca behind because many people had already noticed her, and he was sure that quite a few people must be spying on them.

Nevertheless, he didn't care about those people and their little tricks, he would never give them a chance to overpower him. At least, that's what he thought.

On the way to their destination, Ayaan heard a piece of news. A piece of news about birthday celebration in the royal palace which was ten days later; moreover, the birthday girl was none other than Noor. Making him exhilarated and worried at the same time.

Exhilarated because he found a way to meet Noor, and worried because this was the best possible situation for all the enemies and traitors to attack the royal family.

However, the good thing was that he still had ten more days. Ten days might be a short time period for ordinary people, but it was more than enough for him to become at the level of his enemy.

In no time, the duo reached their destination. At the entrance was standing a little. She was none other than Emma.

"Good morning, sir. Good morning, mam," Emma greeted the couple with a smiling face.

"Oh, Isobel sent you?" Ayaan asked in surprise.

"Umm, yes sir. Please, come with me, I will lead you to your cabin." As she spoke, the girl went inside the building, followed by Ayaan and Rebecca.

Emma arrived at the second floor and went towards the room before knocking on it. Ayaan looked around and realised that the cabin was just beside Isobele's cabin.

"Enter," a sweet voice sounded from inside the room. Both Ayaan and Rebecca went inside but Emma didn't follow.

After entering the room, Ayaan saw Isobel was sitting on the sofa at the side. A usual smile was hung at the corner of her enchanting red lips.

The room was rather big, a huge table was at the centre, a leather chair was placed at the back of it. Two stools were in the front, maybe for the customers. Behind the table were a few shelves, maybe to display something.

Ayaan turned around and looked at the lady sitting on the sofa. As usual, she was looking amazing, her left hand has on the sofa handle, and her leg was crossed on another.

"From now on, this cabin would be yours. In this room, your lab is also attached. Those shelves are for showcasing your finished potions, you can give a little summary about the potion and place them here." Isobel explained everything briefly.

Only now did Ayaan noticed a small door attached to the room, on which was written the word 'Lab'. Another door was also present on the other side, it must be for extra purposes, he thought.

"Thank you so much, Isobel" Ayaan expressed his gratitude for her hard work. This room was almost similar to Isobel, with some minor changes, and it was less girly.

"That's what I should do, we're working together now after all. It is my responsibility to take care of these small things." the lady on the sofa replied while gazing at Ayaan's face continuously with her bright eyes.

This whole time, Ayaan didn't find anything wrong, but Rebecca narrowed her eyes when she saw how Isobel was looking at Ayaan. The instinct of a woman was a terrifying thing. They could perceive somethings in a single glance, to which man would never pay attention.

At this time, Isobel noticed Rebecca's gaze, and gave her a slight nod. she didn't put an arrogant look in front of the lady. She was a very insightful woman, who had seen all kinds of people while doing business and knew how to deal with them.

As the saying goes, 'the way to overcome the angry man is with gentleness, the evil with goodness, the miser with generosity and the liar with truth'. Isobel was fully aware of this and anyone would become angry when someone would try to snatch her husband.

Nevertheless, She didn't have any intention to snatch someone else's husband; therefore, she just had to win angry Rebecca with her gentleness, which wouldn't be easy. Anyways, Ayaan was unaware of any of this, he was busy looking at his cabin.

Thereafter, Isobel stood up and said her farewell, she didn't want to enter in Rebbecca's bad book. She had become more certain about her feelings after hearing little sister's talk.

Though she wanted to win Ayaan's heart, she would never stoop low to play petty tricks. She was very proud to the point of arrogance and was fully confident in her charm.

There would be many chances to meet with Ayaan and Rebecca. she could build her relationship slowly.

When Isobel was about to exit, she once again turned, speaking, "There is a party in the royal palace in about ten days. I would like to invite you two if you have time; please, visit the royal palace."

Hearing Isobel's words, both Rebecca and Ayaan turned towards Isobel in surprise. He knew that he would receive an invitation from Isobel, but didn't expect it would be this early. He immediately hid his excitement and put a bright smile on his face, then replied, "Sure, I will definitely come."

Rebecca rolled her eyes at him when she saw his innocent-looking face. 'Really people can't judge a book by its cover, ' Rebecca shook her head.

Although Isobel saw Rebecca's weird expression, she didn't think much about it. 'It might be because she doesn't like me.' Isobel sighed seeing her expression.

However, she completely misunderstood Rebecca. She had never opposed Ayaan to had more wives. Furthermore, if Ayaan had followed one wife rule, she wouldn't even come in his life; therefore, she herself wasn't in a place to oppose Ayaan from getting more wives.

Finally, they bid farewell to Isobel. Ayan went to the lab to make some potions. Moreover, he used the time-watch in the potion-making. Any potion which was about to fail he would use the watch and would slow down the time in his surrounding to adjust everything to avoid the failure of the potion.

Gradually, his control over the watch became stronger, but Ayaan could feel that there was something more about this watch. The watch was connected to him and he could feel he didn't even unlock one per-cent of the mystery about the watch, but he could already slow down the time about ten times.

This watch was really heavenly treasure, as dragon general stated previously. It was just an ordinary-looking watch. But it could perform so many things which would make anyone gobsmacked.

After realising the worth of the watch, Ayaan did many experiments on it. There were only a few days left for the protection of the system. He used this time to train himself as much as he could and in between, trying to unravel the mysteries of the watch.

Nevertheless, he didn't learn anything from time-watch no matter how he tried. He always felt that something was missing, but he couldn't pin-point that missing element.

Anyways, it wasn't like he didn't receive anything from the watch. He realised that he could use it while fighting. He could slow his enemy while increasing his own speed and his companions as well.

Nonetheless, playing with time wasn't something anyone could do. If people knew about his treasure, they would definitely hunt him down, even if they had to cross seven seas for that; therefore, he had to use it very smartly without letting anyone notice it.

Furthermore, in this insane training, Rebecca was able to break through to the great mage and once more she reached her previous level. It was a heaven-defying feat for anyone to become a great mage once in their life and Rebecca was able to Breakthrough twice and in such a short time period.

Ayaan himself was surprised by her speed. He had the system; therefore, his speed was due to his cheat levelling system. However, Rebecca was using ordinary means to train, she needed to practice breathing techniques all the time to increase a little bit of magic power inside her body.

At that time, Ayaan realised that Rebecca wasn't an ordinary phoenix. He knew all the phoenix present in the world only had a little bit of their bloodline, they weren't real phoenix. However, Rebecca seems a special case, though not a phoenix, her blood must be purer than others.

Although she told him that she needed to take revenge for her family and her people because someone had murdered them and she was only able to escape due to the effort of her father and mother

She didn't know the reason behind that massacre; why those people attacked her clan, slaughtering her people? She had no idea who they were, and why they did such a thing.

Anyways, Ayaan also wasn't behind Rebecca. On the third day of his training, he was able to break through to the fourth level of great mage and on the seventh day, he reached the fifth level.

Though he trained very fiercely, he couldn't break through another level. However, he was sure that he could easily match anyone at the seventh level, but he didn't have any confidence against someone at the eighth level or above.

Finally, as the ninth day passed, the capital became rather lively. Many people were talking about the upcoming event in the royal palace and many gossips started to spread.

"Did you hear tomorrow his majesty is going to announce the engagement of the princess Noor to Daniel the savage?"

"What!? Where did you hear this information from? I don't believe it."

"Humph! What do you know? It was the butler of the Lawson family who said it by himself."

Coincidently, Ayaan heard this conversation at the roadside, and terrifying killing intent flashed in his eyes. 'It seems the Lawson family doesn't want to live anymore. Then I will give them a swift death tomorrow'. He sneered at the petty tricks of the Lawson family.

They were doing this to show the royal family their power and how determined they were to oppose them. It was just a low-grade tactic to intimidate weak people. He didn't believe that it was the doing of the higher-ups of the clan. If it was their deed, he would really question their intelligence.

It must be the work of that stupid butler to gain some appreciation from the family or that Daniel. Ayaan shook his head when he thought about it.
