Chapter 601: Chapter 601 - Enemies at the Gate
Meanwhile, near Slumdon Town...
"How do you think Broken could possibly stop us tonight? Any chance at all?" Lucy, the Master of the FairyTool Guild, asked with a smirk.
Around her stood 130 players, all prepared to launch a devastating assault on Slumdon Town. Their mission was clear: to completely raze the town and leave nothing in its wake.
"I think even 130 people might be overkill for one abandoned town," she added.
The players split into several groups, positioning themselves around Slumdon Town to attack from multiple angles. They were confident that tonight would bring them a decisive victory. "Is everyone online yet?"
"Give it a few more minutes. I'm sure they'll all be here soon," her friend replied.
"Damn it! Don't they understand the meaning of discipline?" Lucy snapped. "This is the perfect chance to humiliate Broken right after he declared his new guild."
"Yes, exactly!" her friend replied, his grin widening. "With everyone's attention on us, our name will explode in popularity once we succeed in wiping this town off the map."
"Absolutely," Lucy said with a spark in her eye. "After tonight, our alliance's name will be on everyone's lips. We'll grab tons of attention... and tons of sponsors."
"No Elincia, Goldrich, Charmelyn, or anyone else here to stop us," her friend added, smirking. "Just a few low-level Knights..."
"This mission will be over in a flash," Lucy declared. "But maybe we should drag it out, make the livestream last a bit longer. Maximize the views and the money."
She turned back to her friend. "But first, call everyone in. I want everyone online right now!"

In a secluded corner of the capital city of the Dissidia Kingdom, a group of forty individuals gathered, preparing to carry out an important mission that night.
"Damn that Broken," one of them muttered angrily. "He even managed to absorb the Ass Guild into his own guild!"
"We hold Princess Alora in high regard and are committed to protecting her from deceitful men like Broken!"
"With each passing moment, I feel more certain that we're doing the right thing," someone else chimed in.
"That's right," the first one continued. "We'll infiltrate the party at the town hall, and our mission is simple: kill Broken while he's off guard!"
"We can't let anyone get close to Princess Alora!" declared a fourth. "Especially not some upstart like him!"
"Listen, everyone!" the leader declared. "We don't care how serious the risks might be. Tonight, we'll show our defiance and utter hatred for Broken. No matter how many of us fall, it will all be worth it if we succeed in killing him in front of a crowd. Especially in front of Princess Alora!"
"We must protect Princess Alora's purity! Nobody can get close to her!"Nôv(el)B\\jnn
Unbeknownst to them, someone was observing their every move from a high vantage point. Far above, Forev watched through the eyes of her spirit beast as it flew silently through the night sky.
"They're absolute idiots," Forev muttered. "Utter freaks!"

The Dissidia Kingdom was alive with excitement as the capital celebrated Princess Alora and the Heroes of Dissidia's successful defense against the Fae attacks.
Broken sat at a large table with his new guild members and Princess Alora, who had joined them to sample the special drinks prepared by the royal chef. The atmosphere was warm and lively, with laughter filling the air as the new allies celebrated their recent victory.
"Lord Broken," Princess Alora said, breaking the comfortable buzz of the crowd. "I believe many people here would love to hear you speak. Don't you think it's your duty to fulfill their wishes?"
Freya, sitting to Broken's left, nudged him with a grin. "Go on, Master," she teased. "You should be ready to be the star of the night, right?"
Broken gave a small nod to Princess Alora, who rose gracefully from her chair. Instantly, all eyes in the room turned to her and Broken as they moved to the center of the hall.
"I am sure you are eager to hear of the heroic deeds of the Heroes of Dissidia, who were able to vanquish the threat from the enemies and put an end to the destruction that plagued Deadbay City," Princess Alora announced.
Her words were met with resounding applause from the assembled crowd.
"And for that reason," she continued, "I have asked Lord Broken, Baron of Slumdon Town, to join us tonight, so that I may extend my sincerest gratitude and appreciation for his and his team's remarkable contributions to this victory."
The audience erupted into applause. Some of Slumdon Town's residents, filled with pride, cheered his name.
"I will give Baron Broken time to share his stories and offer all of you the chance to ask him questions about that night's events," Princess Alora announced, then gave Broken a knowing smile.
"Damn! I really can't dodge this," Broken muttered softly as he stepped into the spotlight. "I am deeply humbled and honored by Princess Alora's kind words," he began. "But I can't take all the credit for our success. It was the result of collaboration between many groups, including the Princess herself, her knights, and the members of the Ass Guild, who are now part of the Vensalor Guild."
"He is our new Lord!" one of the Slumdon Town residents shouted proudly.
"I'm sure Slumdon Town will be flourishing in no time under his guidance."
"I want to see how far Broken can go," a player added. "I hope his success doesn't fade quickly. I want to see just how high a player can rise in this vast game."
Just then, Broken felt a small vibration, receiving a message from Forev.
[Forev: "Broken, there are quite a few of them, but I'm sure you'll handle it with ease."]
Broken took a slow breath, realizing just how relentless they were in stirring up trouble. They even had the nerve to plan chaos at an event like this.
He nodded to himself, then whispered quietly, "Pawpaw, I'm sure you're ready to join the party, aren't you? I won't hold you back."
