Chapter 603: Chapter 603 - Slumdon Under Siege

Lucy, the Master of the FairyTool Guild, had reached a pivotal point in her life. Gaming had been her passion since she was a teenager, and with Immortal Legacy standing as the pinnacle of her hobby, she was determined to prove that her passion could also be a viable career.

With her marriage on the horizon, Lucy was driven to ensure that her future husband wouldn't bear the sole financial burden in their relationship.

She had a clear and bold plan in mind: she would broadcast a live stream of her guild and the alliance as they razed Slumdon Town to the ground.

This would not only boost their fame but also establish their dominance, especially since Broken and the Vensalor Guild were the center of attention that night.

"All right!" Lucy declared firmly. "Let's start the live stream!"

The camera zoomed in on her confident and passionate face as she addressed her audience. "Hi, everyone!" she exclaimed. "As I mentioned earlier, tonight, we, along with the Valantar Guilds Alliance, will do something monumental: we're going to destroy this small town, the proud home of Broken and his newly formed Vensalor Guild!"

"We are one of the strongest guilds in Valantar City. For those of you who play Immortal Legacy, you know how challenging this game can be. Our success wasn't handed to us, we've earned it through hard work and dedication, unlike some guilds that rely on throwing money around to get ahead."

Lucy gestured dramatically toward the distant Slumdon Town.

"We're here to prove that the owner of Slumdon Town is unworthy of it," she declared confidently. "They've failed to properly maintain it, and tonight, we'll reduce it to rubble!" Her words were met with loud cheers from the assembled group.

"So don't forget to send your donations and support us!" Lucy added with a sly grin. "We're about to put on a show you won't want to miss!"

Lucy felt no concern about the knights and troops stationed in Slumdon Town, they posed no real threat. As for the players living there? They were too intimidated to intervene or risk standing in the way of the alliance's plans.

"I can't believe Broken was so careless," Lucy murmured. "He's too young to appreciate the luxuries he's been given. If I had what he has, I'd make far better use of it."

The live chat section of the stream immediately lit up as viewers began flooding it with their reactions.

"Weren't these people beaten by the Ass Guild before?"

"Yes, but there's no one in Slumdon Town except a few Knights."

"But isn't this practically committing suicide? The Vensalor Guild won't just sit by if their town is destroyed, will they?"

"It'll cost them a fortune to recover if the town is destroyed."

"Money doesn't seem to be an issue for them. But they won't get another shot at owning a town in Immortal Legacy."n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om

"Vensalor Guild will definitely take revenge for this."

"However, the Vensalor Guild would have to think twice before retaliating."

"Their enemies are from the neighboring Kesseon Kingdom, and Valantar is a major city. Kesseon Kingdom isn't small either, so Vensalor won't be able to seek revenge easily. Especially if Kesseon intervenes."

"Broken and his guild members are all in the capital of Dissidia Kingdom right now. There's no way they expected this attack."

Igor, Ingrid, Damir, and five other Knights marched from the Slumdon Town, prepared to confront the enemies who had dared to attack the town that night.

"Sir Igor," one of the Knights asked hesitantly, "are you sure the eight of us are enough to face them? They've brought a group of about twenty people."

Igor's voice was steady. "It is the duty of a Knight to guard the town they serve. Whatever challenges come our way, we shall face them with courage."

As the group of players approached, Igor's expression hardened. "You've come here with malicious intent. The Knights of Slumdon stand to protect the peace and serenity of this town. We will not allow your actions to go unchecked."

One of the players snickered. "Look at this! These are the NPCS Broken left to guard his town? Ha ha ha."

"Just get rid of them already! They're nothing but scraps!"

Meanwhile, Orion, Karl, Yann, and Anna departed from Slumdon Town's city wall as well.

Orion, in particular, seemed exhilarated. After weeks of managing his unruly knights during training sessions, he was ready to unleash his pent-up frustration in the heat of battle. This was his chance to demonstrate his strength and draw blood.

"I'm not taking responsibility if any of you die!" Orion said.

"Oh, Orion... do you really think we're so weak?" Anna replied with a grin, her massive greatsword slung over her back.

"I'll make sure I take down more enemies than you tonight, Orion!" Karl said confidently.

"Hah! You're all dreaming if you think you can outdo me!" Orion retorted with a smirk. "Don't forget, I'm your commander!"

Orion had lost a duel against Broken and, as punishment, was forced to serve under him. However, he refused to let this setback define him. Instead, he viewed it as an opportunity to grow stronger and further refine his skills.

Prideful as he was, Orion vowed to carry out his punishment with dignity, determined to uphold his honor even in defeat.

With his remarkable talent and natural capabilities, many expected him to one day ascend to the position of Lord of Deadbay. His level far surpassed that of most players, sure he was not someone to be taken lightly.

"Listen up, all you idiot players!" Orion bellowed. "Are you prepared for the horrific death that awaits you tonight?!"

One of the opposing players sneered. "What a shame. This dog, who lost so miserably to Broken, is now just licking his boots like a slave. How pitiful."

"Shut up, because I'm about to beat you so hard you'll never dare come back to this place ever again!" Orion declared firmly.
