Lunar Supremacy: The Original Alpha

Chapter 171 Bloodline Struggle

Vincent descended the grand staircase, his footsteps echoing through the opulent foyer. His sharp eyes scanned the room, taking note of the Ex-Alpha's huddled together in a tight formation, their once unwavering loyalty to Lowell now tinged with an air of resignation.

Clad in their perfectly tailored suits, their postures rigid and their expressions guarded, they awaited his arrival.

"We greet the Supreme Leader " In a synchronized motion, the Ex-Alpha's bowed their heads, a sign of reverence that spoke volumes about the power dynamics at play. It was a silent acknowledgment of Vincent's authority, a reminder that he now held the reins of this huge organization.

Vincent's hand rose, a signal for the others to lift their heads.

"Each of you will is still be granted the freedom to form your own pack. And, Lowell will continue to handle the affairs of the organization." His voice flowed seamlessly, commanding attention and respect . It was as though every word he spoke carried weight, infused with a magnetic force that compelled the Alphas to heed his words.

As the weight of his declaration settled upon the hall, a surge of energy rippled through the Alphas present. Their eyes glowed with renewed intensity, the fiery red hue signifying their restored qualifications to lead.

"Thank you, Supreme Leader," they spoke in unison, their voices filled with gratitude. They lowered their heads once again in a display of respect and appreciation, recognizing their new leader's benevolence and the opportunity bestowed upon them.

In that moment, the atmosphere shifted, a tangible sense of acceptance and hope pervading the room. The path forward had been paved, and within their hearts, the flames of possibility burned brighter than ever before.

Maybe, just maybe, their new Supreme Leader could take them to even greater heights.

Vincent's gaze swept across the hall, his satisfaction evident in the subtle upturn of his lips. He observed them, their expressions was full of determination , and an unwavering commitment to serve him.

Then, his gaze shifted towards a certain figure, someone he needed to speak with before he departed.

"Alonzo, come with me for a second. I want to talk to you about something," His command hung in the air, carrying a sense of urgency that Alonzo couldn't ignore.

With a nod, Alonzo followed behind as they made their way through the grand estate. They entered one of the private rooms, a place secluded from prying eyes and curious ears. The door closed behind them, sealing off the outside world.

Alonzo's mansion, crafted with the unique needs of werewolves in mind, boasted an array of soundproof rooms. The importance of privacy and security was ingrained in every facet of their lives, and Alonzo's place was no exception. The walls were thick, muffling even the faintest whispers, ensuring their conversations remained strictly between them.

As they entered the room, Vincent turned to face Alonzo, his eyes piercing, filled with curiosity .

"Are you still consumed by the desire for revenge against that person?" Vincent began, his voice steady yet tinged with a hint of intrigue. He wanted to address this issue promptly, knowing he possessed the power now to free Vanessa from her husband's grasp if she so wished.

Alonzo hesitated, his expression filled with pain and reflection. Time seemed to suspend as the weight of his answer hung in the air, the room holding its breath for his answer.

"There is no need for that, Supreme Leader," Alonzo replied, his voice carrying a sense of resignation. It was evident that he had undergone a deep realization, though the scars of his past love still haunted him.

"I have moved on, realizing that love cannot be forced. As for my wife, I have set her free." he added.

Vincent's discerning gaze remained fixed on Alonzo, detecting the undercurrents of pain and growth within him. There was a flicker of empathy and guilt in his eyes, a recognition that Alonzo's actions were not solely driven by malice. He felt the genuine love he had harbored for Vanessa, buried beneath layers of darkness and vengeance.

"I'm glad to hear that" he nodded with satisfaction, sensing Alonzo's sincerity. He made a mental note to assign someone to monitor Vanessa for now, ensuring her well-being. As for actively searching for her, that would be a matter for the future.
