Paragon of Death

Chapter 106

106 Chapter 105: Cassius Blood

Brrr!

Upon saying those words the aura of the youth erupted surging dangerously. His blood aura spread across the battlefield like a pool, making Damon feel like his movements were hindered!

[RUN! HE IS THE ONE THE ELF WAS SPEAKING OF! IF YOU FIGHT THIS MAN YOU MAY NOT SURVIVE! HE HAS ALREADY TAKEN HALF A STEP INTO THE CHAMPION REALM AND HAS ALREADY BEGUN CONSTRUCTING HIS ANOMALY!] Death’s anxious voice boomed in Damon’s mind, stunning him. If the mighty guardian spirit of death is this anxious then something must be seriously wrong!

Anomaly!

Damon’s face turned pale as he heard that word. While he knew little about the perks of breaking into the champion realm, he still knew about the anomaly which is considered the trump card of all champion realm experts!

An anomaly is actually simple yet very effective! It is said no two men have the same anomaly as the effects and abilities are dependent on the caster.

Thinking back, Damon remembered coming across it once when studying in the royal palace. When reading about the pathways, he came across something regarding an anomaly getting affected by every single power one possesses.

Anyway, an anomaly allows a cultivator to slightly alter the world around them to create a battlefield where they hold an absolute advantage. It blends with the environment around the user, altering it slightly.

The range of the anomaly usually depends on the strength of the caster as well. The entire issue concerning the anomaly was completely new to Damon. He knew about it but he wasn’t too sure about the details.

.....

His eyes narrowed as the blood red aura of the youth swept past him and across the battlefield twisting and turning space itself! Slowly the ripples lessened bit bone spikes began emerging from the ground. In just a few breaths the entire terrain had changed, becoming a bone forest!

“I was told you killed Kyle back in your kingdom. He wasn’t very outstanding but he was a member of the whites! We are the elite of the blood clan... for his sake, I have no intentions of holding back on you” the white-haired vampire said with a bitter sigh.

Hearing this, Damon’s fists were clenched together and his eyes revealed a bright purple light as he entered a fighting stance.

“Your little vampire fought and died... just like you will” Damon gave a short reply as his grip on the hilt of his blade tightened.

While his words were brimming with confidence and his eyes filled with the will to fight but his heart was trembling. His foe was clearly an exalted warrior realm vampire. While this man believed he won against Kyle, Damon knew Kyle let him win. While Kyle never said it, he seemed to have been tired of his life as a vampire. But this one is different! This one wasn’t just caught up in everything, he is clearly on the side of the blood clan and he has been sent to kill the lone wolf and end the war all in one night.

When Elsa spoke about him dying, he thought he would just randomly be killed in the fray just like any normal soldier! He didn’t expect someone would come for him directly!

“Stop bluffing! I can smell your fear!” The vampire said with widened eyes.

Bang!

The white-haired vampire simply raised his blade even though he and Damon were a good distance away from each other, leaving Damon confused. But then something changed! Like an illusion, Damon felt like the world was drawn to the enemy. He soon found himself directly in front of the vampire with his bone sword swinging down ruthlessly!

Pfft!

GENERAL ROSS!

The soldiers a distance away peeping into the bone forest screamed out their hearts as they watched the blade descend on the unsuspecting Damon who wasn’t even prepared to defend himself! Blood squirted high into the air and many screamed in shock!

The overbearing general who led a great charge against hundreds of thousands of vampires had most of his left shoulder and left chest cut off alongside his left hand.

All through the entire process, Damon remained standing with dilated eyes due to shock. Like a log of wood kept with nothing to support it, Damon fell to the ground, smashing his face into the ground while his blood formed a small pool around his soon-to-be corpse!

.............

Elsa had just reached the great general’s tent to inform him of what was happening and Damon’s words and just when they stepped out of the tent did they hear the cry.

GENERAL ROSS!

“Ross?” Elsa was slightly confused.

“DAMON ROSS!” Duke Hail’s voice trembled alongside his body as he spoke those words.

Duke Hail and Elsa paled and quickly exchanged terrified expressions on their faces.

“I will go!” Elsa said with a hint of worry in her tone as she was prepared to run off but Duke Hail caught her hand, stopping her.

“All the other camps may be affected as well. You should return to your camp and make sure your people are safe! I will go instead.” Duke Hail said sternly as he watched black smoke rise from countless parts of the camp.

If these enemies can cause such chaos in the human camp, what stops them from doing the same in the elf camp?

“No one is going anywhere” A laid-back voice resounded which left Duke Hail stiffened and confused.

The Duke’s eyes narrowed, revealing a fierce light that has never been seen before on Duke Hail. His eyes peered into the distant darkness as a figure slowly took shape while approaching them.

It was a young man with no shirt on and black pants. He had waist long, black hair with blood red eyes. He seemed casual and Elsa couldn’t even feel any aura from this young man somewhere in his early twenties but judging from the fierce expression on Duke Hail’s face, she knew it was something serious!

It was clear that this man was not amongst the whites of the blood clan! But the only people above the whites in terms of strength and prestige are....

The first blood!

Bang!

Elsa graced the ground with her butt as immense fear gripped her. She finally realized why shouldn’t feel the enemy’s aura!

They were not on the same level!

A spirit realm expert!

BOOM!

A massive pillar of white aura exploded, surging directly as it formed a pillar reaching the skies! The sudden release of power from the Duke of the human race sent even Elsa flying and rolling on the floor a couple of times. A champion realm expert was sent flying just by Duke Hail’s immense aura.

“YOU DARE SHOW YOUR FACE TO ME AGAIN AFTER OUR LAST BATTLE? HAHAHAHAHA! GOOD, TODAY, CASSIUS BLOOD, A MEMBER OF THE FIRST BLOODS WILL DIE BY MY HANDS!” Duke Hail bellowed as his voice resounded across the skies like lightning!

“Hahahaha! Last time we fought I gave you a deep wound on your chest. The lone wolf died because he tried to protect his little son and turned his back on our patriarch... You are the reason the last war was lost!” Cassius laughed with a crazed grin.

“YOU!!!” Duke Hail growled furiously as his eyebrows got knitted together when he heard those words.

Elsa remained seated on her butt as she gazed at Cassius Blood with immense fear in her eyes. What Damon doesn’t know was that Elsa was involved in the last war against the blood clan. Back then she was only in the warrior realm. She did not have any direct confrontation with the First Blood’s of the blood clan but she felt their power when the main figures began fighting.

Her father died in that battle, leaving her with only her mother to rule the elf kingdom. Back then she was so terrified of just the clashing aura that she was paralyzed and couldn’t move throughout the fight. If it wasn’t for her status as a princess with countless elves willing to die to protect her on the battlefield she would have died.

............

“HMPH! You talked big yet all it took was one strike to take you down. I can’t believe Kyle lost to a wimp like you!” The white-haired vampire said as he slowly stabbed Damon’s fallen body.

Seeing the lack of response, even he frowned. He knew Damon wasn’t dead but he could tell Damon was dying! Has he reached a stage where he is oblivious to things happening around him? He came here hoping to get the fight of his life, yet this happened now!

How can he not be disappointed?

With a sigh and an eye filled with disappointment, he raised his bone sword, placing it over Damon’s head. Werewolves can’t regrow body parts so this was the only way to be assured of his death! He had no intentions of taking chances.

“When you get to hell, tell Kyle, his big brother is disappointed!” The youth said coldly before slashing!
