Paragon of Death

Chapter 107

107 Chapter 106: The Chosen one?

“When you get to hell, tell Kyle, his big brother is disappointed!” The youth said as he raised his weapon and was about to decapitate Damon.

Those watching from a distance have already mentally accepted the death of the young general and lone wolf but the unexpected happened!

Bang!

Suddenly countless bone spikes erupted from the ground stabbing into the vampire from all sides!

Bam!

Damon suddenly slapped the floor with one hand, launching him into the air as his claws exploded with immense aura and he slashed forward at the enemy, aiming for the throat!

Boom!

The bones impaling the vampire shattered as he was thrown a few meters back! The enemy wore a fierce frown as he held on to his bone sword which he used to block the attack.

Blood squirted out of the numerous holes in his body. The vampire gazed at it and realized something terrifying! His wounds aren’t healing!

.....

How?

The white-haired vampire frowned deeply at this but didn’t speak his mind. Recurring everything that happened, everything was going smoothly but suddenly he felt the hands of death around his neck. It was for a brief moment but he felt it from Damon.

“What the hell are you?” He muttered in disbelief.

They had all the information they needed about Damon. He knew everything Damon should be capable of, so he was still skeptical about his theory. But who the hell in a human camp is able to control bones?

It’s impossible! It’s not a power affiliated with the human race.

At this point, he didn’t even know what to believe anymore or what to say. Nothing made sense anymore, leaving him completely confused.

General Ross!

The human realm soldiers watching from a distance cheered. They were so excited by the sudden comeback that they didn’t even bother to ask questions concerning the bone attack.

“This is a really nasty wound... I will have to get it fixed later” Damon said with a sigh as he gazed at the decapitated part of this body, laying bare on the ground.

Seeing this the vampire frowned. Those too far away wouldn’t notice but the vampire did. He could see the pitch black eyes with the countless black cracks around his eyelids!

“You are him? Now this explains why Kyle lost to you!” The vampire said with a more relaxed look on his face.

Suddenly the tension vanished as if he just met an ally. Even Damon noticed the sudden change and wondered how the negative emotions piled up just vanished!

“You know what I am?” Damon said in a calm voice that overlapped with thousands of voices.

He casually picked up the greatsword lying on the ground and began walking toward the enemy at a slow but steady pace.

Right now the entire camp was in chaos, people dying and numerous souls surging into his body. Damon could feel his power rising but that wasn’t the main point here. In such a chaotic environment and with such a powerful foe, he had no other choice but to use his trump card if he even dreams of winning against the enemy.

“I am Kain, Kyle was my younger brother... Considering our past I’m sure he must have surrendered himself to you when he realized your identity... You are the one we have all been waiting for!” Kain fell on one knee and lowered his head respectfully as he spoke, making it look like he was speaking to a king.

Seeing this Damon frowned and glanced around. There were still some human realm soldiers watching the battle from a safe distance! Seeing the enemy kneel before him will definitely prompt questions which will lead to suspicion and more.

“Rise...” Damon ignored Kain and gave out a command! The next moment, Three warrior realm undead vampires emerged from his shadow and raced towards the next human realm experts!

Without Damon giving them an order, they were already aware of his thoughts. With cries of dying soldiers resounding around them, Damon felt much more at ease.

Yes, his actions were not right morally but logically, this was the only option left for him.

With that settled, Damon returned his attention to Kain and pondered on his earlier words about Kyle surrendering to him when he realized his identity. While Kyle never surrendered, his fighting will did drop. Damon was well aware he managed to kill Kyle not because he was stronger but because Kyle didn’t seem to have the will to live anymore.

Back then he simply brushed off the thoughts and did nothing but now he couldn’t help but question the reason for that.

“Why would you surrender to me?” Damon asked.

By now he was already standing directly in front of the kneeling vampire. Seeing Kain wasn’t flinching, he knew this vampire really respected Damon deeply.

“Because you are the one we have all been waiting for. The host of death, who will unite all dark beings in this world and wage a great war against the entire world! Not just on this continent but even far beyond the endless sea. With your help, we will create a new world where unique beings like us can live without fear!” Kain said with fierce determination in his eyes stunning Damon.

To think these crazy people had such ambitions!

[This is the opportunity we needed! Agree! As long as you remain with the blood clan and help them wipe out the alliance, no one else will be able to threaten your life. Not even the son of heaven can reach you there! You will finally be able to cultivate in peace!] Death was overly excited but Damon wasn’t.

His eyes remained calm throughout the entire thing and after a few seconds of pondering, he turned his gaze back to Kain and asked.

“How sure are you that I will be willing to help?” Damon asked with a raised eyebrow.

“YOU MUST! You have to fulfill your destiny! This is not something you can run away from! You are the host!” Kain seems agitated by the question and panicked.

“I am the death magic host but I am also the lone wolf.... Who the hell are you to decide my future? Even if I agree with your logic, doesn’t that also mean it’s my destiny to wipe your kind out of existence!” Damon said with a frown causing Kain to stand up abruptly and take a step back!

[Damon! What the hell are you doing? You are going to blow a good chance at survival! Don’t be stupid!] Death growled furiously but Damon ignored the voice in his head and focused on Kain who seemed to be completely torn.

“But you are one of us!” Kain said as he gazed at Damon. It felt like he was begging Damon to just accept.

“No, I am a human with the power to control the dead and a few other perks. You are a dead man who feeds on the living and rare them as cattle, butchering them without hesitation! Damon has been a lot of things over the years but I have never been a fool. The world I want is not one flooded in blood and filled with corpses. We do not share the same vision!” Damon said coldly.

Peng!

Like lightning to the bone blade struck forward but Damon had already predicted this due to the sudden surge of negative emotions and blocked appropriately with his great sword! He retreated by a few steps and stopped.

“If you are not going to be our savior, then you are the one we must kill! Kyle’s sacrifice will not be in vain!” Kain growled as he lunged forward with his blade.

Damon was going to move but countless bone spikes shot off the ground, stabbing at him but he was already airborne, with fire and wind surging at the tip of his blade as he swung it at the incoming for!

Kill!

Boom!

A fierce explosion rocked the sky as a mighty bone blade descended from above splitting the explosion in two!

Bang!

Kain kicked the air and shot towards Damon like a missile, from a distance he swung his bone sword which strangely began to stretch, racing towards Damon!

Pa!

In response, Damon threw his arm forward while his eyes revealed a red flash within all that darkness.

Blood control!

The puddle of blood beneath the two soon began shooting into the air like a spear, instantly smashing into the bone blade with just enough force to change its trajectory.

Lacking the ability to fly Damon could only use his Wind magic to slow his descent while forcing a massive bone spear to shoot out of the ground, allowing him to stand on it.

After his short exchange with Kain, Damon was assured of something. Standing on the ground would be the biggest mistake of his life when going against such a foe!

Bang!

Kain landed roughly on the ground below while looking up to Damon standing on the massive bone with his greatsword placed on his shoulder and a hint of disdain in his eyes while he gazed at the vampire beneath! Without being told, the duo already knew their battle had just begun!
