Ultimate Gacha System: Reborn Into A Crazy Fantasy

Chapter 224: Clearing Floors, Renown

Chapter 224: Clearing Floors, Renown

Aleron went up to the 2nd floor's reception desk and collected his reward.Nôv(el)B\\jnn

'1000 chaos stones for passing the first floor? That's not bad, considering we only got 1000 Chaos stones after clearing a dungeon.'

[Gachapi: Nah, our dungeon was a bit special. It was not a normally spawned one. That's why we got Chaos Breathing Art and such rewards instead of Chaos Stones.]

'I see. Yeah, Chaos Breathing Arts are definitely expensive the more speedy recovery they provide.'

Aleron didn't wait or spar with anyone and directly applied for a floor upgrade.

There were a total of ten floors, with the 6th floor and onward having two subfloors. Subfloors have unique challenges instead of fighting with another opponent.

It wasn't long before Aleron's turn came up, and he won the fight just as easily.

Now that his soul stats had reached the peak of Paragon-rank, his senses and reaction drastically improved. His skills were already sophisticated and powerful, and now that the boost from his concept increased, thanks to his soul stats being very high, Aleron's combat power was higher than most Paragon-rank powerhouses.

The 2nd Floor gave him 1100 chaos stones.

The 3rd Floor gave him 1200 chaos stones.

The 4th Floor 1300 chaos stones.

And the 5th floor, 1500 chaos stones.

Finally, he arrived at the 6th floor, which wasn't as easy.

As his turn came up, Aleron entered a white room according to instruction.

There was a transparent glass to the left where an elven lady in her thirties stood and looked at Aleron, "The challenge is straightforward. You must dodge incoming projectiles. You can use whatever skills you have to do that. Every three waves of attack, the difficulty will go up a level, and you'll be able to see that in the ceiling."

"If you are hit, the number on the hit bar will change.'

Aleron looked up and saw a giant [1] in digital style and a hit bar beside it. [Hit: 0].

"Alright, I am ready," Aleron nodded at the lady.

A second later, Aleron heard a monotone voice commencing the challenge with a countdown.

[Three...Two...One...Start!]

Aleron saw five spears hurling at him from the white wall fifteen meters in front of him using some kind of projection magic. It didn't have any damage, but if a spear struck him, the Hit counter would increase by one.

The five spears came in at the speed of 500 meters per second. The first level appeared a tad bit easy for Aleron as he easily captured their motion and simply moved a bit to dodge them all.

The second wave of attack was five fireballs, which looked a bit tricky as their incoming direction locked both sides to prevent dodging, but this was only for those that couldn't react in proper time.

Aleron easily dodged it, and the final wave attack of level 1 arrived. Seven arrows aiming at seven spots of his body at a speed of 1000 meters per second.

Since the distance was only 15 meters between himself and when the attack appeared, the challenge wasn't easy unless one had a way to perceive time faster than usual, either through their senses or through magic.

As for Aleron? He had both ways at his disposal. His senses captured the attack trajectory instantly, so he could already calculate a path, and he also had the power of time at his disposal, so he could use it to affect himself.

*Swoosh!*

Aleron easily dodged the incoming arrows.

[Level 2 will start after thirty seconds. Please get ready.]

Aleron stood with his arms and eyes straight at the wall as he patiently waited.

Thirty seconds passed by, and after three seconds of countdown, the first wave attack of level 2 arrived.

Ten spears at the crazy speed of 10,000 meters per second.

Aleron saw the spears; his eyes glinted, and he teleported, easily dodging the spears.

'Teleport?' the lady behind the transparent glass raised her eyebrows. 'It's been a while since I saw pure spatial teleportation. As long as he has good reaction speed and skills, he might clear level 3.'

Aleron proceeded to easily dodge the next two attacks of level 2 and entered level 3 difficulty. The first wave attack of level 3 consisted of only two projectiles. Two red-lightning spears moved in uneven trajectories at the speed of 50,000 meters per second.

Two flashes of light and several afterimages of Aleron formed in the room as he dodged the projectiles that changed directions to come after him.

The only way to dodge was to create obstacles for them to tackle on their path while dodging, so Aleron decided to dodge in a way that both red-lightning spears struck each other.

The second wave attack of level 3 released four projectiles of blue lightning arrows at the speed of 60,000 meters per second.

The flashes of light and crackling of thunder rang amidst Aleron's whooshing sound as he dodged with teleports and high-speed dashes fueled by a Mystic Skill: Galethunder Drift. This movement-type Mystic Skill had the effect of creating a solid afterimage that also travels after the main body after crossing the speed of 100,000 meters per second, thanks to a Magic Print he tried creating.

It was a 2-star Magic Print called Tracer Image, which allowed the afterimages to remain activated to induce minor confusion.

The third wave of level 3 difficulty had five projectiles of white-lightning spears that moved at the speed of 70,000 meters per second, all chasing after him but failing to hit him as he succeeded in crossing level 3.

"Level 4 is optional and final. Do you want to continue?" the elven lady asked after Aleron finished the level 3 challenge.

"What's the benefit of completing it?" Aleron asked.

The elven lady smiled, "Extra 500 Chaos Stones and your name recorded for one of the best

Paragon-rank powerhouses."

"Sure, let's start," Aleron nodded.

The number changed to 4 in the ceiling, and the countdown began.

"Holy shit! Are you serious? Did that guy just finish level 4 in the 6th Floor challenge?"

"That leaderboard has a new name, so that might be the case, yeah."

"What the fuck. His name is at the topmost spot. So doesn't that mean he dodged better than

previous ones?"

"I've tried level 4, and it was crazy. Projectiles are over ten, and all of them are crazily fast. Even if you teleport, the projectile will sense the teleport location and directly come to you. I saw someone with spatial traits getting hit on that level."

"It's that hard, huh?"

"It's practically impossible. Only four people passed it despite hundreds of years passing, and now we finally got 5th challenger who passed it."

Aleron's action of winning against the level 4 challenge of the 6th floor got many people in

Arena Tower to start talking.

When he arrived at the 7th Floor and started the challenge regarding defense, the public was increasing outside the transparent room.

When Aleron passed the 3rd level of the 7th floor and successfully used his Defense skills to completely remain unharmed against the barrages of attacks, the people watching outside the room numbered almost a hundred.

This 7th floor held the trial of defense. Inside the white room, Aleron would receive a single barrage of various attack projectiles that he would need to block using one defense-type skill. Only one. He wasn't allowed to use more than one defense skill in a single wave.

But this challenge was even easier for Aleron because he could have versatile defensive skills, and they were most powerful because of the time-space traits that he combined with Earth and Metal-structured defense with robust internal structure.

Aleron simply made crazily tough bunkers around him, and no attack could go past it.

He accepted the level 4 difficulty challenge afterward, causing people to react. All challengers who accept the bonus level will have their live performance broadcast on various screens on all floors of Arena Tower.

Previously, no one was paying attention, but since Aleron broke the record in bonus level on the 6th floor, many people were paying attention to the screens.

The whitewall glowed before fifty missile projectiles of pure destructive power of various attributes were unleashed.

Aleron's eyes glinted before he created a bunker again but added an additional effect to it by modifying the skill beforehand.

The moment all attacks struck his defense in intervals of milliseconds, the first ten projectiles exploded, and all of their power was absorbed by his defense as their energy was traveling in a temporal loop he created in the first layer of his defensive dome.

The second ten projectiles, after a few milliseconds, struck his circular defensive dome and were half-absorbed while the other half was endured by the defense.

The third and remaining waves of projectiles were met with a rebound released by Aleron's defense that it absorbed initially, creating a catastrophic explosion in the room as it was filled with colorful smoke and sparks before everything dispersed, revealing the fully intact Aleron

inside his defensive dome.

[Calculating the remaining energy in the defense...]

[Congratulations. You have broken the previous record held by a Paragon-rank powerhouse in

this challenge.]

"Holy shit!"

"Looks like he is a real deal."

"Quickly contact Flamelion Mansion! If he is not affiliated with anyone, we have to recruit

him!"

The people watching outside the room and through screens were in uproar.

Many of those from different organizations wanted to meet him the moment Aleron climbed

the 8th Floor.

Aleron wryly smiled at the people blocking the way and announced, "I'm sorry, everyone. I

am already a part of an organization so I won't be accepting any offers."

"Can you tell us which organization you're part of, please?!"

"Prosper Path Alliance," Aleron answered.

'Hmm, this situation is actually good. It's better to make myself known to as many people as

possible. As long as I match my performance and build up my renown, I will have more

influence overall.'

[Gachapi: This is good. We can better use Prosper Path Alliance if you become an exceptional

recruit to them.]
